With that said, the "tentacles" are actually what's wrong, lore-wise. The way it works is that Necromorphs are literally reanimated cells, they don't have something inside them physically manipulating them. Cool visual, yes, but doesn't match the lore.
For some reason it really bugged me, felt a bit low-effort, my guy just stands there like a dead fish.
The effect was cool and all.
BUT where would that air go? Isaac can survive 90 seconds in a vaccum. I can hold my breath longer then that easily. So my guess is that he has some kind to lung condition and he just holds his breath.
Isaac is too mobile. It doesn't feel like he's wearing a heavy suit and boots, more like spandex. This is particularly noticeable when he's walking on that skin-like substance growing all over the ship.
The aiming lasers are now one large group instead of individual lasers. If the middle laser hits a surface, all lasers stop at that distance. It's a small detail, but something I really liked about the original.
That might be a bug. It worked fine for me. So far i have only use the plasma cutter and pulse rifle (in ds1 and 2 in general) and it always worked fine for me.
Is it on all guns for you or just specific ones?
Can you show me a screenshot of it working?
Will do that later. Currently working xD
All 3 dead space games and almost every survival action horror games have the low health walking animation.
Hope the remake adds it back via a patch.
Edit: Those things https://deadspace.fandom.com/wiki/Gravity_Panels
When you enter the outside area of the pedestial site, the Hive Mind would show it's back tentacles for a moment ans make a cool sound. That's completely missing.
After it's revealed that Nicole is dead, when you enter the tunnel filled with the Corruption, they did leave in the old ambience of the Hive Mind angrily slamming the building, but Isaac doesn't react to the building shaking anymore. In fact, it doesn't even shake anymore.
Also, after you see the full suicide video, Isaac no longer places his palm against his helmet. They had a chance to have Isaac take off his helmet and actually show real emotion now, but he's just chilling like nothing happens.
The Hive Mind also sounds pretty pathetic. The old sounds are so iconic you hear them in the menu of this game as well as in Dead Space 2 as a reference to Isaac's trauma from the events of this game. I'm pretty sure in Dead Space 2, when you shoot the final heart thing to destroy the giant Marker at the end of that game, you also hear the Hive Mind screaming in pain.
