DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
after a few minutes of playing and streaming the game, the game kept crashing and this code showed up every time,

Direct function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with
DXGI ERROR DEVICE HUNG (*The GPU will not respond to more commands"). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 TI Laptop GPU", Driver: 52824. This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing: try installing the latest drivers. GPUBreadcrumbs:

Done trying the debug mode on NVDIA, and no, never overclocking my laptop, FPS capped at 60, game is running on administrator mode, and all latest driver are updated (including intel).

Really can't wait to play this game seriously. Anyone can help?

Getting this exact same error and situation with an I9 - 12900K and a 4090

In your Nvidia driver, go to "Help" and tick Debug mode, this will fix the GPU to rated GPU clocks, see if it fixes it.
debug mode already turned on, just tested it recently playing with performance mode and silent mode (laggy as hell), still crashing, it even worse with performance mode, can only play for around 5 minutes and it crashed.

Might have to wait for either a game update or a new driver release, I am sorry the game runs so poorly man.
alright man, thank you

so from my understanding it seems like alot of rarer cards arent even supported for this game

I would get that same error in a number of games when I had a 1080TI. Turned out I had to RMA it back to NVidia. Solutions for me back then were limiting my FPS to 60. Worth a shot.

Yup it seems like the higher end cards are having more of a problem with this error.

I turned it down from Ultra to high and haven't had a crash since. Still hitching ocassional when there is a large open space coming (loading up in back ground) but no crash. Probably a setting on ultra that was causing it for me. 4090 10700K . nothing overclocked. No matter what hardware you have you are at the mercy of game engines and people's know how on their usage.

This Engine or Game has some problems with OC/UV with MSI Afterburner, we have to run our cards with factory settings. Never had any issues with all the other games i play, i swear i play them all Cyberpunk, RDR2, Warhammer 40k, Guardians of Galaxy etc., all on Ultra Settings with RayTracing never had any issues with my OC 4090. But this Remake has some serious Problems with it, i think we need to see some future Patches and a new Geforce Driver to get this Problem solved.

Having the same error as OP. 4090 with afterburner. Will try without afterburner.

i doubt that your problem is afterburner because i have it always running and play this game for hours without any problem.

I'm having this same problem. After a few minutes of gameplay, it crashes with this error message. I've tried many different combinations of GPU settings and in-game graphics settings. Nothing is over-clocked. In "Ultra" mode, the game usually crashes with this error in about 2 to 4 minutes. With the "High" graphics setting, I can play between 5 and 40 minutes before it crashes with this error. I have the latest Nvidia drivers, and the latest Windows 11 updates. My hardware more than meets the recommended requirements for this game. My CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD all have very good cooling, but I monitor the temperatures just in case there's a problem. During gameplay, all temperatures are within normal ranges. Eventually, I even tried increases\decreases in GPU voltage and clock speed, but that seemed to have no effect on the crashes. Since I don't have this problem with any other game, my guess is that it's either a problem with the game itself, or the graphics driver.

Please help!

My system specs:
CPU: Intel i7-13700K 3.4GHz
GPU: Zotac GAMING Twin Edge OC GeForce RTX 3060 12GB 12 GB Video Card
RAM: Corsair Dominator DDR5-5600 CL36 64GB
SSD: Kingston KC3000 2TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD

I have the same thing...also crashes with the same error...
Viper Jan 29, 2023 @ 10:52am
seems to be a driver issue.Had that error pretty early in gameplay. After rolling back to 528,24 no issues after 6-8 hours.

I did fix this issue turning the settings down to high. But after seeing that IGN video on performance and how it’s streams a lot in the background from drives causing hitching I reinstalled it to my m.2 drive from my SSD and put it back to ultra. No crashing a lot less hitching. My guess is maybe the faster cards are hanging looking for data. Might want to loosen those timings
