Anyone got a clue how an RTX 2070 will perform at 1440p?
Is there even a chance of reaching a consistent 60fps? Sadly I feel my PC is starting to get left behind when it comes to new games playing at 1440p, but I figured I'd check just to make sure. To be more precise, my rig is:

Windows 10
i7-9700k
RTX 2070
16GB RAM

1080p 60fps - medium to low.
Don't expect getting any good fps. Game has issues of stuttering/lag. Even at max low settings. It has terrible keeping stable framerates.

On high with RT or no RT? Also, are you using DLSS? Curious... That sounds really high.

Native on my 3080ti, no DLSS, RTAO enabled, and max-settings, I average 70~100fps inside the ship at 1440p native.

Theres no way we are getting the same fps while you're using a 2070, lol... (Albiet you did say "high" settings.)

A few scenes including the prologue scene will force the 3080ti to 60-70fps until I enter the Ishimura.

I have a similar rig, same resolution, but swap out the 2070 for a 3080.

I get an average of 100fps (anywhere from 80-120) with DLSS Quality enabled. Everything else on High more or less.
With TAA instead of DLSS, around 70-80fps (drops to 60 sometimes) average, but way more choppy in some areas and less consistent.

DLSS will give you a more pleasant experience in my opinion however it takes away from the graphical fidelity (example, Isaac's suit still looks great with DLSS on, but the surrounding textures, like walls, lose out on the sharp textures which appear with TAA enabled). But, still likely looks better than the console experience that is constantly changing the resolution to meet FR target.

It honestly doesn't matter what your hardware is, nor what the settings are, it either will run alright or it'll be garbage performance. Seems like a broken DLSS/shader, or perhaps a vram leak. It will just randomly drop to sub 30 fps (sometimes sub 5) and stay there until you back out to the menu and come back into the game, or manage to get DLSS to reset via switching the AA settings in the menu until it starts to work again. Outside of that, the game honestly isn't very demanding.

I've got an i5 9600KF - RTX 2070 and 16GB Ram and play in 1440p at 60fps in high settings (up to date nvidia drivers, win10)

It's amazingly smooth, no stutter so far after playing for 1+ hour (with EA Play Pro)
Guess only a few people are having troubles with certain rigs and are getting stutters and low fps.

Since your rig is similar to mine, you should be fine.
Worst case scenario you can get a refund if you buy on steam.

(DLSS ON - Balanced, RT ON)

I ran a 2080ti, high/med mix of settings at 1440p (med shadows & reflections) and used DLSS on balanced. Game ran above 80 fps in most cases, barely any issues.

Got the same setup as you do but with 32 Gigs of RAM, also playing at 1440p and im playing on High with DLSS on Balanced and can get a fairly consistent 60....it dips every once in a while into the 50s but it doesnt stay there long

Thanks everyone. I always forget about Steam's refund system. Here's hoping it either runs decently consistent 1440p@60fps on my system, OR I don't lose track of time lol. Thanks again.

DLSS balanced, RT off always.

Start of the game was rough as hell but inside it became stable and a lot smoother with ocasional dips and zero stuttering.

As an update, my performance itself seems to be a smooth 60fps. I have medium presets and turned DLSS to Performance. Only dips I have gotten so far are the stutter when loading new areas. Nothing hardware related seems to be limiting me so far. So that's good.

My Rig: RTX 2070 Super, i7 9700K, 16GB RAM

Lowest possible settings + DLSS Ultra Performance = 80fps average
Highest possible settings + DLSS Ultra Performance = 60fps average
Highest possible settings + DLSS Off = 30fps average

Definitely need a beefy PC to run this game. I'm a spoiled nitwit who can't stand playing below 120fps, so I'll have to wait to play this game until I upgrade my PC.
