DLC armor replaces level 2?
Are the DLC armors just skins, or do they come with their own set of perks? I equipped one, upgraded my armor but it replaced it with the stock suit. Does that mean in order to have level 2 armor, I have to not wear the DLC armor?

They're just reskins, If you upgrade your armor it'll change your outfit to the upgraded version of the default suit, but putting back on any other outfits maintains the new perks from upgraded suits.
