I never would've guessed it had anything to do with the overlay. Funny that it somehow works in the tutorial anyway.
short press mapbutton = inventory
This is what i discovered. I didnt disable steam controller overlay but i will give that a try too to look if this make the movements better.
But disabling steam overlay fixed it.
It worked for a little while and now it randomly stopped again. Always goes to inventory.
It's gotta be a bug of some sort. I'll try to figure out what triggers it.
You have XBOXONE controller too?
Also i have disabled the steam controller overlay, zero difference compares with when it was set on enabled.
1 last more thing: did you update your firmware recently? (if XBOXONE controller)
It seems to be something within the game itself triggering it, because I now restarted the game with overlay and it works, so the overlay was a red herring. There must be some in-game action that triggers it. I just haven't figured out yet when it happens precisely because I'm not opening the map that often. I just play normally and at some point it stops working and long press starts to go to inventory instead of map.
