[Huge Bug] New Game +

New game plus is completely broken, at least for me. Just finished the game, went to start up a new game plus, but after a loading screen I just appear as Isaac, standing on a white square, with everything else being complete darkness. After a couple seconds everything turns blindingly white and stays like that with nothing else happening. I assume that, for some reason, in NG+ something just isn't triggering. Exiting to menu and trying again does nothing, closing and restarting the game hasn't helped either.

Same issue even after reloading a previous save, beating the game again, and then trying to start a new game plus with the new save.

Same issue here, beat the game on impossible and when I load into NG+ I just get put on some white square in the default engineering suit without any items (I'm assuming it's some sort of test room), I just want my foam finger lol, went back and beat the game again and that didn't solve it.

I'd be surprised if there's anything that can be done on our side. They've screwed something up in the actual game code so they'll have to patch it.

I wish I was. I saw another post where someone had this same exact issue, but caused by somehow falling through the map instead of starting NG+.

my issue is similar but still different. i never get as far as seeing isaac standing on anything but i get a the loading screen of the ishismura then it freezes and then it crashes like a minute later. if i try to start a normal new game not NG+ then the game starts fine. its only NG+ it seems

i wonder if its an issue with the game trying to render isaac in a suit he's not supposed to be in at the start of the game.

He starts in the Level 1 suit, so I don't think that's it. At best it's something wrong with the save being loaded, but seeing as completing the game again and trying a second save didn't work, I'm not sure how that would be the case. If it was consistent between all players I'd say it was a coding error, but since it works fine for some people, that makes it likely that there's some factor consistent between the people who have this problem that the dev's didn't account for, not sure what it could be though.

I have the same issue, but I used a trainer to get nodes/credits. Not sure if thats the reason though

Are you doods using Trainers? I finished the game and NG+ loaded just fine
