Redownloading 34GB?

So I preordered this game so I could preload. Which I did. Get home from work and go to start it up, and now it wants 34GB??? I preloaded because my internet sucks! Whats even the point of a preload

I may be wrong but it should just validate what you have then download the missing files. You can't download the entire thing these days because people will find a way to make it work early so some vital files are left out.

Pre-loading on PC doesn't exactly work the way you think, on steam that is.

Pre-loading is just downloading encrypted game files so that on launch day steam can just unpack them.

The only benefit you get for pre-loading is waiting 20 minutes instead of like an hour to install the game normally

Thats just it though, it isn't decrypting them. Its redownloading them. At my internet speed of a whole one (1) (uno) megabyte. Ran verification - no files found.

Hi, I've had the same issue. It seems they released an update shortly before release, which changed some game files and invalidated some earlier pre-loads. A lot of people had the same problem. It took three hours myself to redownload everything

Yeah that was dumb. Defeats the point of a preload but I had a 2 hour download myself.

Don't bother preloading it'll make you redownload anyways, I learned my lesson from Callisto

Happened to me too. Downloaded the full game, then a day later had to do it all over again.
