Do I actually need to log into the EA account for this?

For some reason it keeps telling me my password is wrong even though I keep resetting it. It seems like if I close that window the game launches fine though. Do I miss out by not logging in?

As far as I can tell you don't need to log in. I did the same thing to me so I just closed it. Doesn't seem to affect anything as far as I can tell. I don't know if there's any bonus to logging into their awful service.

I've notice a lot of EA games not only want you to buy the game on steam but also need you to log into EA account to be able to play there games. You might not be able to play the game if you don't login to that account if it asks for it.

I would say, Install it with steam but you will most likely still need EA account also I believe EA took over origin so installing origin wont help.

Why linking your game accounts is a scam!? It's an EA game, while Steam is only selling it and getting a whooping 30% of the money. I have all of my games account linked, Steam, GOG, Epic Games Launcher, EA Play, Rockstar Games Launcher and Ubisoft Connect, and it's very handy to do so by launching them from just one place, meaning GOG.

It's a scam because they force EA app on one game but not the other. It's not random.

Right now there is EA sale. Titanfall 2 Ultimate edition is $3. It's only discounted this much because they are hoping for new accounts.

No Scam - EA simply having you use their launcher
