DirectX Error

[memotoast]

Game is crashing every couple minutes with this Error:

DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The GPU will not respond to more commands"). GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090" , Driver: 52824

Anyone else has the same Problem or has solved this?

How do I make it so that the 'fix.bat'-file adds the files to the filepath in regedit?

I'm on AMD's 23.10.2 drivers using a 6750XT and I have the same issue. There's also huge freezes from time to time and it ends up crashing later on.

Update the nvidia profile via profile inspector! I had the same issue with recent drivers and that fixed the dx error

Changing to 'borderless window' in settings worked for me.

Just for fun (aka "troubleshooting") try this:

Open this location:
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Dead Space (2023)\settings\steam

Open the file:
ProfileOptions_profile

Add THIS line:
GstRender.ClampGpuMemory 0

Save the file, relaunch Dead Space and let us know!
