DirectX Error

Game is crashing every couple minutes with this Error:

DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The GPU will not respond to more commands"). GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090" , Driver: 52824

Anyone else has the same Problem or has solved this?

Same error, 4090 with afterburner. this is the only game that I have ever seen this error on. This is a game specific error. I am not going to "fix" my pc. Yall need to fix the game.
Will try to run with stock settings/no afterburner for now until they patch this.

Wanted to share my solution; I have the game on Origin and had constant crashes with new Nvidia drivers. DirectX error. Once I did a downgrade to 258.02 drivers, played 4h non stop, zero crash and less stutter than before. Hope this helps everyone.

On a 3090Ti FE, 528.24 drivers, no oc/uv here and approx 50 % of game starts result in a crash with a note saying I should try the latest driver.

EA/Frostbite... get your act together.

I assume you meant 528.02 version of drivers and i tried it and it really seems to help with this bug

Yes sorry, 528.02, typo. Strange, can you try clean install? I still didn't crash, got to chapter 6.

Oh also, I've deleted nvidia experience just in case. Maybe it's because of the overlay? Hope that helps.

I did those 2 steps and it seems i am able to play finally. For first time i closed the game and it didnt closed itself on its own. Not idea which of those steps helped.

There are multiple reasons for the Dead Space DirectX error; here are the fixes. First, ensure you have installed the latest GPU driver. If you are installing the GPU driver, do a clean installation. <---- IMPORTANT TO TRY TO MAKE CLEAN INSTALLATION - First totally uninstall your gpu in device manager and then install new drivers.

If the DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error persists while playing the Dead Space 2023 remake, you can fix it by capping the game’s max FPS. Open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings > select Dead Space. Enable Max FPS Limit and set a value for it. However, don’t just input any value. It’s good practice that your FPS cap is 1/2, 1/3rd, or 1/4th of your Monitor’s refresh rate for a smoother experience. For example, if you have a 120 Hz display, you can cap the game to either 60 FPS, 40 FPS, or 30 FPS. Limiting the FPS reduces GPU and CPU load and will fix the Dead Space DirectX error. <--- i Set 60 fps for both background and in game.


After those 2 steps seems i have no problems so far

Some suggestions I've heard:
limit your FPS to 1/2 or less than your monitor's refreash rate (via the NVIDIA control panel)
disable the steam and any other game overlay
manually disable HDR in the settings file by changing a 1 to a 0 - even if you do not use HDR it is still hard enabled unless you do that and being enabled but not used causes issues

Fixed the error by disabling over clock profile in MSI afterburner. No more gpu crash errors.

Eh... can you post a source for this? Randomly pasting things into your registery which someone on the internet told you to... seems like a bad idea
