I get a GetDeviceRemovedReason DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG with a 4090. Funny thing is that I got to boot correctly the first two times, getting into the into video (I exited out both times myself w/o issue). then I tried rebooting and even uninstalling and putting the game on another NvME drive. Now it hangs during startup and I can't get to the warning screens.

I fixed my issue by restoring default core clock on GPU via MSI Afterburner. Best of luck!

Unfortunately, i am at stock clocks. =(

OK I got it to work:

The game's initial load-up didn't like my desktop resolution of 4k.

Changed desktop to 1080p and game booted up normally.

Upon updating all my game graphic/display settings, the game loads
without any issues even when my desktop is set back to 4k.

Hope this helps anyone else with this issue.

New drivers were released for this game by Nvidia this week, so for sure people will want to be at the latest version drivers.

I have been successful in keeping a 50MHz OC on the GPU. pledge2k, your suggestions to kneecap our PCs is a SAD answer for help. Nvidia can do better than that.
