???? It's a 1-1 unstable copy with a new paintjob . And they are asking almost four times the original price for a worse release. Pretty sure i got all the info i need to come to that logical conclusion. It's an obvious cash grab that got abandonned as soon as they hit some quota, or even before that .
New Side Quests, updated mechanics such as zero gravity updated to be like 2, flesh peeling off enemies, better balanced weapons, an alternate ending, new randomized enemy appearances at certain points and during backtracking, tram system that isnt just a loading screen, etc.
You mean updated weapons and mechanics taken straight from 2 , 1 new room with 1 enemy enocunter, the removal of the loading screen that causes the stutters. And the price is still four times above the original. And better balanced weapons? Not what the rest of the people are saying but sure . You must also have one of those magical copies that have 0 stutters and 0 bugs. The few little tweaks they made does not warrant the 4 times increase in price regardless.
Also, Side quests? This is a singeplayer horror shooter game, not a rpg, why does it need side quests? Why is it a bonus?
you can be biased about the game if you want, but dont act like its fact, its your opinion
and personally i liked most of the sidequests in 3 so i liked them here as well, and it fleshed out the story better imo, which i believe was what they were going for
Yeah, the only upgrade it gets from a new engine is graphical. Every other update could've been shoved into the 2008 release with a few patches or a DLC . The increase in price isn't equal to the increase in quality. That's a fact . You can argue about it, but the truth won't change. And im pretty sure the pulse rifle was never good, but that's whatever .
Also, side quests mean optional quests, stuff you don't have to do . IF those sidequests are actually parts of the story that's a huge blunder on their part . OR maybe you're just missusing the term "sidequests" .
For the sake of games preservation and true ownership, GOG, and the cracking scene are basically the only means by which those two things can continue to be a reality.
I think there are a lot of short sighted comments in this thread. As if cracked/pirated copies of things are only used or useful so people can get free stuff. I'm sure everyone thinking that doesn't think about other people in other countries that literally can't buy and play certain games because of Third party account requirements (PSN and etc) that some games have, and thus the only option is to pirate or make an account, and lie about your location which violates the third party companies TOS.
Making all games DRM-free or easily cracked broadly is the only way for true ownership to exist. Platform doesn't matter; it could be through Steam, GOG, Epic, itch.io, as long as it's DRM-free it's true ownership. I don't think people should be worshipping GOG just because they only offer DRM-free games. Believe me, if Steam did the same thing, you'd see a GREAT mass exodus to the Epic Games Store from AAA devs; nothing better for a crappy AAA company than a store that doesn't disclose DRM at all. Hell, companies like Ubisoft seem to already be trying that. AAA companies aren't ready to go full DRM-free yet, as much as I wish they were. Too many stupid executives making stupid decisions that hurt themselves and their company because they're stupid. But maybe one day they'll get their collective heads out of their collective asses.
