Origin launcher needed?
Just wondering if the Origin launcher is needed to play this game? I kind of just want to own this game on Steam and not be required to download a separate launcher just to play.

Wow, that's a bummer. I guess I'm not getting this game. I don't understand why can't we run games without having to download a separate software.

I read that EA App is not required in this Game, but i can not confirm it to 100%

only dead space 3 required it. you can play the og and 2 straight up offline. i know cause ive been getting them to play on steam deck on the go.

If it does require the Origin launcher then I wonder why it's using Steam cloud saves, or at least that's what it's showing for the game in my library. EA games on Steam that use the Origin launcher use EA's own cloud save system (in my experience at least).

Again. Just click on the eula on the store page. It clearly says that you have to agree to origin bleh blah blub. You dont have to read all the text. It's the second paragraph there.

Thats quite interesting. It surely would be super nice. I still doubt it considering that they are not allowed to lie in their EULA for obvious legal reasons. Since lying to gaming activists disguised as journos is common practice.. well.. we will see tommorow.

Most probably you will need the origin launcher.

steam store page always mentions a third party launcher if the game needs it, its not mentioned yet, it might be steam only but cant be sure till it launches.

Let's be real, who cares? Why is it a deal breaker? Are you seriously not gonna play the game you want to play because it has one more step in the launching process?

It's just a launcher. It's not a big deal.

I have no issues with other launchers.

It's very rare I ever have a moment when I think even for a second, 'damn other launcher'.

Recently I bought RDR2 and had to install Rockstars launcher. Yeah it bugged me momentarily, but I never thought about it since.
