Can GTX 1060 run this game?
Hi there.

Can GTX 1060 run Dead Space Remake or do I get GTX 1070 for it?

This is a hard one. The 1060 vs 1070 on user bench mark https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1070-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1060-6GB/3609vs3639 does show an increase of about 30-40 percent which would probably increase FPS by about 5 or 10, you need to decide if that's worth it to you. Also know, I am a 3D artist, not a computer technician, so take my answer with a grain of salt.

Personally, I would recommend saving up a bit more and getting a 20 series card, that way you would be able to play medium at 60 FPS most probably. Perhaps get a 2070 as they are the recommended spec.

The minimum spec requirement is hard to me, because it does not say what they are targeting for that spec. I am sure, you could hit 40 FPS with the 1060 if the 1070 is targeting 60. But, if the 1070 is targeting 30, you would hit about 5....which yeah that would be unplayable.

...my final answer would be:
Buy the game, try to play it, if you lag to much refund it.

Hmm, sorry, I really don't know. I...think perhaps try buying it, check how the gameplay is too you, and then decide. as someone in south africa, I understand upgrades being super expensive and not easy. This is also hard, we don't know if they are specifying 1920 or 2560 for resolution scaling either. It makes this very hard.

You should be fine. 1060 may be entry-level, but it's plenty capable. How you run things will entirely depend on your settings and resolution, if you're at 1080p, I'd imagine you'd run this just fine at around low ~ medium settings, depending on how well the game's optimized. You shouldn't be too worried. This is also valid for a lot of games these days.

Edit: I should probably specify that by "Run fine", I mean MINIMUM 30fps and if you set it right you can easily reach 60fps. It's essentially the perfect console experience GPU.

GTX 1070 is minium on Steam page. But hopefully it will work on 1060.

Of course it can. People consistently underrate the 1060, NOT the 3gb version which is not a 1060.
GTX 1060 is far below PC system requirement. Hence, it's recommended to run with AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT or better.

The minimum is 1070, so it's not far below the PC system requirements.
Got the game on EA Play Pro

Just get a better GPU man. It's not that hard anymore compared to the last 2 years.
