How long before they drop Denuvo?
Hi All,

I seem to remember that STEAM tends to only have Denuvo in the beginning as apparently that is when the threat of piracy is greatest.

My feeling is that the people who want to pirate it will manage to Crack Denuvo anyway before too long and other games like GOW sell lots without it.

Does anyone have a view on typically how long I would need to wait until there is no Denuvo on Dead Space 2023? And what game I could play in the meantime?

thanks

G

From internal memos, the day after the end of time itself.

Depends on the Publisher. Some remove it 6 to 12 months after the release date, Other's will never remove it.

The contract is renewed yearly. So expect the wait time to be around a year minimum. And that's if it's cracked at some point in time this year. If it isn't cracked, they will probably just keep paying by the year.

Also, games don't really get cracked that quickly anymore. Only one person left who breaks denuvo. And they currently are targeting Hogwarts Legacy instead.

Not true, just some of us aren't really interested in doing this for anyone else. It's not hard to do if you know a little debugging, a little hex editing and a little machine language. 3 minutes or less and done, if you're so inclined, but I can tell you, with 100% certainly, it will not change performance so much as even by a single frame.

I'm just confused by what your post has to do with mine. Empress is literally the only person left who cracks denuvo. And no one knows how she/they do it either.

It's what's been known about for a while now that there are no other denuvo crackers left still doing it. They've all given up or have been hired by the company who does denuvo to help make it even harder to crack.

lol that dude really acting like cracking denuvo is like editing a webpage or something.

You are 100% only empress cracks denuvo and frankly, I wouldn't touch her cracks with someone else's PC anyway.

When it's cracked, generally.
Under selling games may me cut sooner sometimes, but I don't think that is the case of this one.

So probably year cycle end date after when someone cracks it. If someone bothers to crack it at all, which is tbh rather rare these days. So maybe never.

Just where do people think Denuvo's actually involved with the game's stuttering issues? Given that the store page doesn't list Denuvo anywhere in any form on it and I'm pretty certain there's legal fees for deceiving customers that Valve's no doubt likely to enforce.
