Blue Screening PC (DPC_Watchdog_Violation)
Anyone else having their computer blue screened when they play Dead Space Remake? It happens at random times. I can be 1 chapter in. I can be 2 chapters in. Hell I can be 5 mins in. The Windows error code is DPC_Watchdog_Violation. I've tried everything. I've restarted windows completely going from windows 10 to windows 11. I got a new GPU. I got a new monitor. I'm really at the end of what I can think of to do. The blue screen only happens when I play dead space. Doesn't happen when I play other games.
PC Specs:
CPU: Intel I7 8700k
GPU: RTX 3080 (New GPU) I also tried it with a GTX 1080TI
RAM: 32GB

When you keep receiving the Windows 10 error DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION, it means that there could be outdated or damaged device driver, software conflicts, outdated SSD firmware, and corrupted system files on your PC.5 Jan 2023

try this first

How to fix DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION?
Sometimes, scanning and fixing Windows system files will help to fix DPC Watchdog Violation error on your computer. In order to scan and fix system files, open the Command Prompt program as an administrator. Next, type: SFC /scannow and then press Enter. It will automatically scan and fix errors in your Windows system.

If that doesn't fix it, try updating the drivers and the firmware of your SSD, (if using one)

Unfortunately none of that worked, SFC/scannow apparently found a corrupted file which it fixed. (Which is weird because this is literally a fresh install of windows 11) I've updated my SSD Firmware.
But its weird how its only this game thats giving me blue screens and none other game.

The only other thing it might be is a software conflict, try disabling as many background processes as you can? perhaps one or more are conflicting with Dead Space.

Also you could try using checkdisk, maybe the drive file system could be corrupted (or has bad sectors). as the other command checks files, this one will check the disk
open a elevated command prompt and paste
chkdsk C: /f /r /x

(replacing C: if needed.

I never encountered this error, so only going by google solutions.

Two more commands you can use

again elevated command prompt

first

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

if errors are found

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

or try

Method 8. Use the Windows 10 Blue Screen Troubleshooter

Windows 10 comes with many built-in troubleshooters to help you fix issues without having to contact a support agent. While the troubleshooter may not be able to restore the files and progress you lost due to the DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION error, it may help prevent another crash in the future.

Click on the Windows icon in the bottom left of your screen to bring up the Start menu. Choose Settings, or alternatively use the Windows + I shortcut.
Click on the Update & Security tile. This is where you can find most of your built-in troubleshooters.
Switch to the Troubleshoot tab using the left-side pane. Here, you should be able to see a troubleshooter titled Blue Screen.
If you don’t share full diagnostic data to Microsoft, click on the Additional troubleshooters link and locate the Blue Screen troubleshooter there.
Click on the Run the troubleshooter button.
Wait for the troubleshooter to identify the issue and apply any possible fixes. Please note that your device may shut down and restart during this process. When it’s finished, see if the error occurs again.
