Buy Dead Space 2 now or wait for possible remake?

I just bought and played Dead Space remake and loved the game and now I would like to know how the story evolves.
Is Dead Space 2 still playable and worth buying now, or should I just wait because a reamke/remastered is really likley I think but earliest in 1 or 2 years

We have no idea if they even plan on remaking 2. I'd recommend you try out Dead Space 2. It's a masterpiece. And unlike Dead Space 2008, it's not at all clunky.

A second remake probably wont come out for another year or 3, The game upholds perfectly fine by today's standards, I'd definitely buy it right now. It'll be cooler when you yourself can actually spot all the differences and compare the remake to the original in your head as you play

Dead Space 2 is nice, but it's starting to show it's age. I'm not sure if you need to apply any fixes to this game, you can try and play it

But EA won't receive any money from Resident evil 4 remake, so they can't make Dead Space 2 remake in the future. Best advice would be to buy many copies of Dead space remake, to support the company

Dead Space 2 is fantastic and runs really well on modern hardware these days. Been playing it at 4k 60fps after finishing the remake of 1 and it feels great after just playing the remake. A lot of the improvements made to Isaac's movement were pretty much brought over straight from 2, and I feel like the overall game holds up better than the original version of Dead Space 1 does.

The remake combines the best elements of the original series and stands head and shoulders above them as the definitive Dead Space experience. All 3 games of the original trilogy are still fun and worth a try if you're a fan. DS3 is the runt of the litter because the story is retarded and sullies the franchise, but it still plays well and can be enjoyable for fans of action sci fi.

Dead Space 2 is absolutely fantastic and still holds up (played it again last year).

Worth getting it, IMO.

It's good, but main focus would be on shooting things 95% of a time and co-op of course, love the co-op btw

Id play the original now, it's quite good. I'd also go back and play the original Dead Space 1 if you never have before, even if just to compare. I'd skip Dead Space 3 lol.

Just bought 3, I've had years of nothing but bad things to say about it but it honestly isn't as bad as I remembered. I think the only gripes I still have are the purchasable guns and suits and the fact to get the REAL ending to the game you gotta buy a DLC. Other than that it still plays like Dead Space always has but just with more faster action
