Dead Space Update 1.04 Patch Notes
- Added performance improvements.

- Addressed UI issues.

- Addressed various stuttering and lag issues.

The patch should go live on steam within the next few days if the approval process is quick. If you check the game on SteamDB a final patch was already submitted 4 hours ago so that means once approved it will go public after Valves initial patch approval process.

There are also reports that it didn't fix the ch2 batteries; makes me think they didn't fix the underlying issue and only added scripts to specific items to put em back in bugged games, so I'm keeping track of reports with the list still - which ones might be fixed and which might still need to be

it absolutely is BS, they copy and paste these same notes on future updates.

Played for ~45mins @ 4K/60 (frame capped) with no stutters. Tried 4K/120 and started getting traversal stutter again after a couple of minutes.

At this point it's good enough for me to finish the game at 4K/60.

memory leak would still happen at lower res. plus myself and others with 24gb of vram still have the issue. my guess would be data streaming as it happens when i enter new areas. just a guess but i know the game isnt using all my vram.

i sure do hope that the cpu temp spike will be fixed in this patch. my cpu is going crazy with 80°c whilr navigating through ishimura. other games i played my cpu temp was around 53°c - 58°c max

All I know is if I play at 1080p with interger scaling it never happens. If I play at 4k, even with FSR or DLSS, it happens.

Still stutters every single time I approach a closed door like its loading assets into memory. Honestly its game breaking.
