Can you play impossible difficulty on new game+?

Title. Can I still get the secret suit and gun if I play impossible difficulty on new game+?

In order to play Impossible on NG+ you need to beat the game on Impossible in NG.

only if you finished it on impossible

you can't convert a easy/normal/hard playthrough into ng+ on impossible

Actually there is a way without making entire new game save or having to play at impossible difficulty as new game, you need to start new game plus in any difficulty you finished from the last save, then play new game plus, there will be items you need to collect called the marker fragment, collect all of them, finish the story then you will unlock impossible mode for the current save you have

I made this mistake, went through Hard and saved EVERY semiconductor I came across and the Peng trophy , I literally have over 150'000 in my inventory. Thinking I was being big brained for my impending Impossible run.

Beat the game this morning, fired up NewGame+ and obviously couldn't switch it to Impossible. Wah wah....

Ah well, I should have known. So it'll make my second Hard run easier since I want that alternate ending.
