The new opening scene, the new boss fight, the new how-the-whole-crew-dead, is no where near good compare to the original for me
The more I played, the more disappointed I get, and the whole Nicole thing just add more weight at it
That's a good question. The simple answer is, bad acting, directing, and writing. If they could make Gunner Wright 'pretend' to be upset without sounding cheesy, then it might've worked. Maybe Gunner just isn't the right person for the job, but everyone loves him anyway. Alternatively, it could be a study of mental illness. Many people who suffer from delusions aren't entirely aware of their delusion. It's like a blind spot within their mind's eye or perspective. But that's reaching. I doubt the writers are versed in symptoms of schizophrenia. "Isaac is crazy" will be the go to answer for any inconsistencies in his character. It's not the most sophisticated story.
