$60 for... the same game... that you can get for $20?
Ok, so I'll start off by saying that I'm a big fan of Dead Space. It is a very unique sci-fi horror game that does things that I don't see that often. The emphasis on a lovecraftian feel is amazing, as well as this running plot that shows that no matter what you try to control forces beyond your grasp, they will always prevail.

But this is just, this is just the SAME game. I compared what was shown in the trailer to my gameplay of the original game, and this is literally the EXACT same game. The only difference I can see at all is somewhat moodier lighting. And even that I could be wrong with! They're literally just re-releasing the exact same game for 300% of what it already is on steam!!! This has got to be one of the laziest things I have seen in my life as a customer of video game purchases, and that's acknowledging the existence of Call of Duty.

Since I already have the original trilogy, I think I'll stick to that rather than just getting the same game again but I made sure to turn the lighting down one more peg.

And another thing: this isn't a dig at remakes. I played the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3 and they're phenomenal, did an amazing job at making the old format of resident evil games (difficult to control, frozen camera angles, etc.) and made it more appealing. Plus the designs and lighting and blah blah blah is INCREDIBLE!!!

But as for this dead space remake? I might as well just put on a hat and call myself Jakeeynick 2.0

You should probably look up what "remake" means.

"make (something) again or differently."

They're making something again.

Great, so why act shocked? It's exactly what this is. If you don't want it, no one is forcing you to buy it. What was the point of your thread? Just to act outraged that a remake is actually... a remake?

Mainly to try and say to people "Hey guys, don't give EA, the worst gaming company in existence, 60 dollars when you can get the same game for just 20 bucks on the exact same site!"

EA and the worst gaming company in existence when both Epic, Ubisoft and literally Activision Blizzard exist. Good one.

Or maybe some people want the cleaned up version being built in a new engine, and also they are adding some of the mechanics from 2 and 3 so replaying it will be a new more polished experience even if it's the same story/concept design.

You're absolutely right. Those all pale in comparison to the evilness EA has committed.

That's literally the opposite of what he said :steamfacepalm:

And Epic is far far worse than EA has ever been.

I mean, honestly, at least make it less obvious. Didn't start posting until this year, lack of proper badges that come with 19 years.

So don't waste your time because I'm not going to take you seriously.

My father made this account when I was born, I play mostly family share games. I wasn't allowed to post until he took it off restrictions and let me take it over fully.

Thanks for making a bunch of wild assumptions to show how useless you are. :steammocking:
