EA & CODEMASTERS - Logitech Pro Racing Wheel BUGGED/broken
EA PLEASE FIX THIS…

Using the NEW Logitech PRO RACING WHEEL on F1 2021, F1 2020 & F1 2019 The games think the wheel is a gamepad causing the extra driver/wheel shaking animations that makes the games unplayable.

If you play with a gamepad the F1 games add extra driver wheel shake animations. But if you play with a wheel the game is meant to remove those gamepad features/effects. But it doesn’t with the NEW Logitech Pro Racing Wheel. Making those animations very shaky and erratic. It not only effects the animations but in some games the wheel rotation is changed for gamepads and as the new wheel is detected as a pad by the F1 games it is completely broken.

It may potentially be bugged in all F1 games. I have not tested F1 22 as I do not own it.
But this maybe a problem with all new wheels in the future.

EA & CODEMASTERS please fix this or add an option like “Treat input as Gamepad or treat input as Wheel”

Please Patch F1 2021, F1 2020 and F1 2019 at least

Please EA

G923 works as it should for me. Gotta have ghub open though

in cockpit view the in-game driver is not meant to shake the on screen wheel from side to side. That animation is only meant to happen if your playing with a controller like an xbox pad.

I even get this bug when I have my new Logitech Pro Racing Wheel set in compatibility mode. This bug makes it so disconnecting when driving as my IRL wheel is still/not moving but the in-game wheel is moving/shaking from side to side.

EA PLEASE FIX the Logitech wheels.

yeah, that's what annoys me too. I have G923 and it only works in F22 and F21.
F1 2018, 2019, 2020, think this is controller but why?
Codemasters should simply make a selection in settings, type of input device. controller or steering wheel. that's it.
But unfortunately CM doesn't care of this

Because the F1 games thinks Logitech Pro Racing Wheel is a gamepad, not only does it cause unwanted driver animations on-screen but it also affects braking and can cause steering inaccuracies/wheel rotation issues because it’s trying to output gamepad behaviours.

I have also tested the Thrustmaster T300 and it operates perfect in the F1 games. No animation issues, no braking issues or no wheel inaccuracies/rotation issues. Because the game knows it’s a wheel and atomically disables gamepad effects.

EA PLEASE FIX Logitech Wheel support. It’s broken in F1 2021, F1 2020, F1 2019 and probably F1 22 (I don’t own 22 so cannot test.) It may effect older F1 games too haven’t had the time to test.

I cannot believe there is no option to manually select “Override Input… disabled, Wheel, Gamepad.

Codemasters/EA Please patch your F1 games. Logitech wheels need proper support. As the NEW Logitech Pro Racing Wheel is a premium wheel.

PLEASE FIX, thanks

Ok thanks,

So I just tested F1 2021 with the Logitech Pro Racing Wheel in G923 Compatibility Mode and it now works perfect. No issues.

Thanks,

I will now test F1 2020

Logitech Pro Racing Wheel tested by me...

F1 22 = not tested as I don't own it
F1 2021 = Works perfect ONLY in G923 Compatibility Mode (PRO mode broken though)
F1 2020 = Bugged/Broken in both modes (PRO & G923 Compatibility Mode)
F1 2019 = Bugged/Broken in both modes (PRO & G923 Compatibility Mode)

EA & Codemasters needs to patch in better Logitech Wheel support.
