F1 22 VR Oculus Rift
I tried to play the game with my Oculus Rift (CV1), the menu also ran the absolutely nice 2D movie picture and as soon as I loaded on the track, the picture was only black, but I saw the interaction keys and when I went to the session monitor I also had a picture. As soon as it went back to the cockpit, it was black again. Please help!

Current PC: AMD Ryzen 5 3800X
NVIDIA GeForce 1080
32 GB RAM

Current driver: Version 516. 59 from 28. 06. 2022

I have contacted the EA support and they said they are aware of this issue and already working on a fix, and they are receiving reports from players all around the world about it. They didn't said anything about not supporting Rift CV1 despite the fact it is not in the list in their support site. (I don't understand why it is not in the list anyway, as they have not specified if just some versions of Rift would be supported in the first place).
Anyway, I expect it will work after they patch the game with this fix.

I have a Rift CV1 and had this same problem (black in vr). What worked for me was running in windowed mode and then toggling the Anti Aliasing settings in the game to another setting whilst I was seeing the black screen and then everything appeared but I have to do this every time when starting a new session (practice or race etc). i7 7700K, GTX 1080 latest driver

I believe you can simply go to the VR settings and turn the Stencil Mesh to off and you shouldn't have the black screen issue anymore.
