Anyways... there's completely broken unplayable messes on Steam still, so I doubt Valve will remove this game. I had tried it quite awhile back and while I ultimately refunded, it was a very neat and polished experience at the time. And he just put out a big update to it.
Potentially the last big update. There's a very real chance that 1.0 will never happen at this point, so I'm not sure it's a good idea unless you're ok with that possibility.
I was referring more to the prison announcement than the parting ways one.
Dizzie has said he wants to finish it. All you can really go on at this point is what he said in that post.
Uh, what? I don't think they can just yank someone else's game they aren't part of.
I might not continue working on the game if when I come out I'm homeless and I have to stay in a center, because I don't have a PC, and so on. But if I can get situated again and I have money I'll be back at work ASAP.
I don't know how that works to be honest because she was a part of it for years. Either way like I said I assume it's staying up.
And Dizzie just confirmed as much.
Also, I strongly suggest putting up some kind of disclaimer on the store page pointing people to the announcement and making it clear that development will be on hold for a while. Otherwise, I fear people may buy the game without looking at the announcements first, and leave very negative reviews in anger.
League of Geeks did that with Jumplight Odyssey. Was a good Idea honestly.
It won't be easy but you'll get through it. I wish you well.
Thank you for the response & I hope everything goes okay on the inside.
I do hope you can get out early on good behavior and put yourself back together...
If you want a copy of this game in your Steam Library, I suggest buying it. By the way, having games in your Steam Library that've been "removed" still allows you to access them permanently on Steam, and they can even get updates. I think community features still work too. If you care about value/flexing your Steam account, it's very valuable to own games that have been removed. For instance, I have Devotion.
