Initial impressions and a request.
Game Notes:
Please make a female character a stretch goal when you do the kickstarter? It would be nice to have an option for that as opposed to huffing and puffing as a dude.

In games where progression demands you go one way, there are natural barriers, like walls you can’t climb or a snowbank you can’t get around. I don’t like the beginning when I am just looking around and my character starts griping at me that he’s going the wrong way. If you make a place I can go, curiosity demands I look around. If you don’t want me to go somewhere, make it so I can’t go there. Having that guy constantly complain in the beginning takes me out of the critical bonding period I like to have with the avatar.

Crafting:
It’s nice that the info for an item in the crafting menu shows up when you mouse over it.
However, If I click on something, there should be a cut and dry “hey you are crafting this” button. If I click on something accidentally because I want to know more about it in the crafting menu, I should not be punished for that by accidentally making an item I don’t need.
I can’t figure out how to cancel something I am crafting either. Maybe I am just not seeing it.

This game has a lot of potential, please keep working!

It can be a little hard to get used to. I will add a confirmation button, that should help.
To cancel a craft I believe you simply right click on it. does that work?

Sure Female character sounds like a great idea.

As for the character notify the player about dead ends. This is intentional, added to only the demo to block off extended areas in the full game. You are being blocked naturally, the soft snow sinks in that area. The player should slow down, but usually that is not good enough indicator as to why you cannot proceed with many testers.

Yes. Right clicking cancels crafting. Female character is not a priority IMO. You answered my question about open world. We are limited in the play test. Good to know the game is open world for the future.
