the other boosters are ok but the colossus kinda breaks the game flow.
and you can usually tell who has it as someone on their team will have orange cores since they always drop with the colossus kit. unless they find a purple crate and get lucky but it would still be safer to assume orange core means colossus.
but yeah imo its not a fun mechanic. its an i win button that i admit i abuse every chance i get. and i think it should be removed or replaced with something else
tool tips say it can be fought but ive only died with it once facing 2 teams and had a weaver minigun me down with the concentrated fire of 2 players while i chased a fenris.
and still won anyway cause i pushed them off the extract at the last second while my teammate capped it and all we had to do was zone them out for the last 20 seconds.
oh which btw even after all the fire on me i only died when i had a few seconds left in it lol and i dropped at full hp still which i didnt think was supposed to happen but it did.
and have yet to see any team in a dual situation even come close to taking it down.
and for myself i honestly dont get to face it often as im usually the team with the item but when i do. i do my best to pressure the team to use it and keep an eye for a beacon of light and fall back early then just loop around and wait it out or focus the other teammate down from a distance.
It has a loadup time that can be interrupted and that is just what I did. It was a bold move, but my team won eventually as my buddy did well in their 1v1.
or ill have my duo take agro and sneak around back or hit it up as he gets pushed from just behind a wall that was neglected.
thats also not really facing the colossus.
if you fail to stop the drop and hes on the map when its just your team versus the other team what do you do?
-90% of people just try to run. ill just include the ones who got away cause its not really my goal to kill them its to push people away. killing them is just a bonus.
-the other 9% actually try and face it only to just die. this also includes the people who run then try to poke but since they stopped running and didnt respect the amount of ground it can cover with its 3 dashes they you know
-and the last 1% are the people i see just give up and stand still accepting their fate.
the devs should just ban them from being called in the last 2 minutes of the extraction to stop people cheesing it. there's no way to counter an atlas camping the extraction point with 20 seconds left on the clock.
banned within the last 2 minutes doesn't sound bad but it could also increase the pacing of combat. as previously stated by someone, it's not easy to kill a colossus when it's only two teams remaining and your only option is to stay alive for as long as possible befor the timer to run out.
another solution is to not have it be a predictable legendary case drop. just let it be an RNG drop.
but also, i think a large issue also comes at how the match themselves progress. every game is a literal 2v2. a third team surviving or making it to that point of the match and contending with out the proper upgrades is rarely seen. otherwise, i think that would make the end game vastly more unpredictable 2v2v2 and only one team has a colossus. how or when they use it could change the tide of battle or go against them.
which would mean they need to add more population to 18? > increase match timer > increase the hunting grounds by one > and when everyone converges to the extraction there should be three teams remaining? if colossus is an RNG drop instead of a static Legendary case drop then that would make it reasonable i would think?
i still like my idea of having three different variants each having their own weaknesses
1) The shield/health level of the colossus should reflect upon the player using it, i.e. if colossus dies, player dies; If colossus has no shields and half health, when colossus timer runs out and transforms back into the original player bot, they have no shields and half health.
2) Player should suffer a "dazed" penalty when colossus timer runs out, where they are weakened and slowed.
Or both hunters in a team turn into a Colossus under the control of the player who summoned it.
If one player in a squad is dead, then the Colossus cannot be summoned.
You have been banned from the DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO Hub until Apr 26 @ 3:23pm.
Nice, you gave me 1 week. Try harder, hypocrite. How's this for matching your level of petty. I'm farming for a steam ban, bud. Give it to me, hard!!!!!!!!!
Colossus is fine just get good at pvp instead of whining about difficulty. Pve nubs ...zzzz
reading comprehension failed.
as i said, it's existence isn't a problem.
but it's boring and redundant, it needs change.
we're asking for more to do, not do the same.
