It's quite the opposite. I absolutely enjoyed MechaBreak probably due to its Objective based gameplay instead of PvPvE. And I also like Steel Hunters as well, but it will pull me in more once they add different types of game modes as well.
Excuse me..? Slower than that?
If this game was any slower, you would watch a still picture on your screen!
Our game is designed around slow, methodical gameplay, I'm sorry you don't feel this way about it. We’re working on adding more objective-based game modes to bring even more purpose and strategy.
Sound balancing and animation improvements are also on our radar we got feedback on those and we'll look into it. As for customization, we don't currently have this option but it could come in the future.
Your input is super valuable, and we’re taking it into account as we move forward. Thanks again!
If you think it's the pacing that makes combat good or bad, you already lost any argument you were planning to make.
I don't think it's the pacing that makes it not feel tactical, it's the structure.
Overall I would call it medium-paced combat, I have played much faster and much slower, but it feels very shallow on every level.
Not slower than this, slower than Mecha Break for example.
I think this is a middle-ground in terms of pace, kind of like Hawken which I think did it better.
It looks good and I would totally play it if it weren't for the goofy Japanese mecha concept that I think is stupid.
I prefer slow combat because it usually offers more depth and making combat faster is often used to mask how shallow it actually is, but if it's good I don't care whether it's fast or slow.
It plays closer along the lines of being in power armour then an actual mech in terms of weight and feel. Customisation per unit is limited but the different chassis actually feel much different from each other and are the source of the variety.
I'd give it a shot on launch, IMO its only real downside is its made by wargaming.net and as someone who put a ton of time into the original WoT closed beta and then abandoned the game when the bad monetisation took over, I suspect the best time for this game will be right at the start.
