Apologies for the inconvenience, and thank you so much for bringing this to our attention!
Yes, it appears the self-voicing feature is broken. We are working to fix this ASAP!
In the meantime, if you are using a windows computer you should be able to launch the game by deleting the persistent. We'll walk you through it!
1. Uninstall the demo entirely.
2. Locate UpAllNight in your AppData folder. This is usually:
C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming/RenPy/UpAllNight
If you are having trouble locating the AppData folder, you may need to type it in manually. You can also find your AppData folder by typing %APPDATA% into your windows search function.
3. Delete the persistent within.
4. Re-install the Up All Night Demo, and upon launch do not click the self-voicing option.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention! We are working to fix it immediately so that others do not run into the same problem.
If you have any other issues, please let us know!
I'm looking forward to actually play the game.
