Rebirth 1 is relatively easy to get points for, just continue to auto-rebirth your passive characters in an area that gives them plenty of exp (either directly or through quests).
If they did a tier 2 rebirth they gain 40% of what they would as the active character so it's nor bad at all (an extra 80% from the two passive, more or less).
Also note that rebirth 2 allows you to get better returns from rebirth 1 for that character so doing it once in a while helps as well.
In case you didn't know, you get the most rebirth points and guild points by rebirthing as early as possible in terms of level (you get a few more points from extra levels but getting those levels takes a lot more time).
The "walk the world" gets significantly easier when you unlock the expeditions, it's even the main source for that.
Last but not least, don't neglect the alchemy tab, potions are good but that's not the only thing you get from there.
I got 3 points from walking alone.
what are your settings for your heroes? I even changed the radius of attack to be the lowest setting so that the heroes even have to get closer (walk more) to each target before attempting the attack, as well as to force some short-ranged attacks (eg, melee damage with staff) instead of ranged magic or ranged attacks.
after all this time, I'm still at just the one point on Walk the World, and coming up on 1/2 point to the second point. In other words, not even close to getting 3 points like you did.
As Fel mentioned, however, I didn't use alchemy very much. A few HP potions, some resource gain potions, but not much else. Perhaps that is a key category that I've been neglecting that could help out. I do have the expeditions unlocked. Was doing 4-hour runs until recently when I started to have enough gold max cap to enable 8-hour runs.
If you unlock the ability to sell potions directly from the alchemy tab as they are made you can even set the multiplier fairly high and spend your resources in one go.
Points allow you to get bonuses and to level up potions (there is a series of quests that requires you to level potions quite a bit).
One of the things you can unlock with points is the ability to get some nitro when doing alchemy stuff, it can even become a fairly high source for it eventually.
Gold cap upgrade is always good. Bigger stacks mostly boost talismans. The rest focuses on potions (the preservation helps with traps as well).
The main way to ascend before thief is by not rebirthing too much - no levels, no guild exp, no guild levels. This will limit the rebirther milestones, but the rest will go up just fine.
Not leveling the training guild upgrade is another obvious one.
I still didn't figure out how to get Walk the World level 2 or 3 any faster (Level 1 feels just normal by playing the game, whereas getting the next levels seems like there must be a tip to getting it faster) but I did learn something about Milestones category. Apparently I was so focused on "fast exp" that I didn't really open up more areas by working on the unlock repetitions for areas that were not deemed to be "best exp". Once I accidentally unlocked some more zones and saw that I was also able to get some quick milestones, I purposefully unlocked more zones and eventually got the 50 achievements needed for level 1. So if I had to give others advice about this point for world ascension, I'd say to unlock those areas.
To give an idea of how much later I was in doing this first ascension, I had 4 characters, level 43 guild (I really wanted to go for 45 but I decided to ascend because anyway, I can still only play 3 characters even if I unlocked 5th class), 8 points for world ascension, and roughly 30 days played.
I'm hoping I can be more efficient on the next ascension.
Thanks for all the tips from everyone!
Onward!
