Many people reported that they could clear it even though the preview said they could not.
Also, magislime use magic so magic resist is pretty helpful to survive against them.
To get the point, my highest charater level ever reached is 816 and I have clears on areas with up to Lv 1090 monsters. This is mostly equipment and T1 rebirth ability score based, it would work the same with level 0 or level 10k. Without the equipment (and ability T1 ability scores), level 10k would still be useless against the Lv 1000+ monsters.
Potions should also be an option.
A single T2 rebirth isn't very useful and resetting skill levels to 0 is a major setback during the first one. You first want reliable skills in global slots and the ability to get additional T2 rebirths quickly after the first one with general quests being the main source of T2 rebirth points.
The first WA can be done in about 2 weeks with the right setup. That magicslime dungeon is skills and equipment dependent. Focus on MDEF, magicslime equipment (bonus damage to magicslimes, good but not needed) and get some healing (halo, potion, heal skill). Ignore resistance rings, you won't get enough resistances to offset the loss of healing/damage from other rings.
The problem with level grinding is that each additional level does really nothing - no significant rebirth point/guild exp gains, no real stat gain (1 ability point is nothing, per level stats rarely cut it). It's probably best to T1 rebirth at 190 to get additional 90 ability points and do a bunch of quick T1 rebirths to raise exp multiplier, stone gain multiplier, maybe drop several levels into basic ATk and, if you lack the level for equipment, into Equipment Challenger. T2 rebirths won't be of much help unless you can get significantly above level 200 (for more ability points every 25 levels) or do multiple in quick succession (for T2 rebirth upgrades). The guild levels you lose by not rebirthing are far more important than the little stats character levels give you.
As stats (including skill gain/equipment gain proficiency, exp gain, attack speed) increase, the regain of stats lost on reset becomes a lot faster, ultimately reaching the point that for example skill levels get to max before you can clear a single area and rebirth.
As far as MDEF goes, bronze spaulder, iron spaulder, leather armor, magicslime hat (magicslime area 2 that also conveniently can drop all the previous ones). The best is probably leaving your warrior there and sometimes rebirth him. That dungeon is a notorious roadblock that's being discussed from the first days since launch.
If anything can be lost by any type of reset, it's expendable and should be treated as such.
Speed scales well into millions/billions, does little early on.
Magicslime equipment improves damage agains all magicslimes, sword type equipment increases ATK, STR/basic ATK can give you some ATK, some rings and potions increase physical damage, muscle inflation increases ATK.
Passive characters aren't useless, but during the first run, you want to unlock many things asap.
The passive character output of almost everything is 20%/40%/55% depending on their highest rebirth tier (T1/T2/T3; higher is still yet to be implemented). You really want at least the T2, preferably the T3, before you can consider them significant.
Everything your main gains (pets, skill levels, equipment, any epic store stuff, guild levels, whatever else) makes leveling the rest far easier. A good skill in a global slot and some equipment can enable the unleveled, unrebirthed character to be raised far faster, not only because they can start in a lot harder area.
A good rule of thumb is to do the highest tier rebirth on passives you can do reasonably quickly. And get the normal fairy asap - that autorebirth (T1 only until you get further tiers from later pets) can be used by passive characters as well. You want the timing and favorite area ES QoL3 upgrades for it, not that hard to get because reaching fairies gives you some ECs as well.
