Game crashes in about 5 minutes of play
I think this is why it crashes, not sure though. If needed i can send the log files by email or something.

Its trying to read something from memory that does not exist.

Log file mention anything useful?
%LOCALAPPDATA%\GroundBranch\Saved\Logs\GroundBranch.log

Try verifying game files as well.
May be as simple as a bad asset :|

I've re-installed the game on C:\ - that didn't work.

Sometimes the Unreal thing pops up, did send that in, but mostly it just bugs out within a few minutes.

I havent seen anything in the logfile besides that line, but I can send it in if that would help anything.

Press Windows Key + R to bring up the Run dialogue box.

Copy-Paste the local app data line into the Run dialogue box:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\GroundBranch\Saved\Logs\GroundBranch.log

It'll open the log file for you in notepad.
If you scroll the the bottom, it will hopefully have some info that is useful.

There are a few bugs a lot of Unreal Engine games experience
e.g. Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost.
Would not surprise me if its one of those :|

All standard messages, more or less.
Nothing that says "I am the cause of the crash".
Have you tried validating game files / clearing config files already?

I’ve de-installed it and downloaded again after clearing the applocal folder but it basically just dies after like 5 minutes. I can’t point to what causes it. Memtest done nothing, no overclock, did overclock it boots but quits. Even deleted the unreal 2.xx but that didn’t do anything.

So I guess I’ll try with a later built - it doesn’t even register in event viewer and I’ve haven’t seen the unreal error thing come around lately, maybe it’s due windows 11 idk - shame cause it runs flawlessly till 5 mins in training or whenever I go to customize my gun - freeze game and in a few moments it’s a crash to desktop.

I am personally hesitant to update as I am in the middle of AI work :)

Only then or other times as well?

If it happens the moment you save your .kit and you have some software with runtime protection enabled, it could be as simple as adding the game to its list of exceptions.

I'm just grasping at straws now though :|

I've gotten this error now from the unreal software:

CTE gives something like EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION - so i guess ill wait till windows gets an update to try again. Shame runs flawless the few minutes it does run.

Should not currently be using the CTE version - it is many builds behind the regular version.

I was hoping CTE did something different, but it still goes bananas the same way the other one goes down.

I've basically tried anything - im getting a new GPU soon, but this crashing isnt something i get in any other game - ill still support your work though, hope this gets fixed one day.

1060 6gb msi basically the most common one around.. mostly will be getting a real 3080.

Last update (the one that added steamdeck supported) fixed it, runs fine now
