GROUND BRANCH

GROUND BRANCH

so this game is just 12 maps?
Everyone hype this up like it was Ghost Recon but no single player campaign, just a handful of maps. Might refund.

It's not finished yet.

We're getting the first campaign mission next update, taking place on the Depot map. With basic team AI supported for the mission.

We have no idea when that update is coming.

"Just 12 maps". Jesus christ, the entitlement. There are AAA games that launch with less. And what early access game has a full campaign? That doesn't make sense.

Old Tom Clancy games has tons of missions, game is advertise having developers from that game.
Plenty of early access games have a campaign mode even if its not a complete campaign.
How does wanting a partially complete product in early access entitlement?
Even tiny developers like Black One Blood Brothers has way more content and I think some obscure guy making it by himself.

I believe this game only has one dev from the original game(s).

bobb is awful btw. ruined by terrible AI and some questionable level design.

Works for me, I have a blast playing with all the in AI commands. I haven't even played it for over a year and heard there is tons of new updates since. I go back and play games from the 90s and the AI was way worse back then. Especially on games like the old Delta Force series.

Last time I tried BOBB it still had terrible gunplay, but that was months ago.

The original Ghost Recon had 15 maps, and that's a fully developed game. Ground Branch obviously is not. Also maps and graphics in general are a lot more detailed now, and as such probably require a lot more work.

I can't think of any early access first-person shooter that lets you play the campaign. Partially complete is an oxymoron. Black One Blood Brothers is a terrible game, stitched together from marketplace assets.

Calling Black one Blood Brothers a terrible game is the most spoiled cry baby complaint. It has asset flip graphics (who cares about graphics) , but the AI commands are more complex than any tactical shooter i scene and is responsive. When soldiers get stuck you can manually move them if needed. No game breaking bugs. Has 30 campaign missions and steam workshop made customizable missions. Original Ghost Recon according to steam has 23 single players Mission.
The missions on Ground Branch is very barebone too and is as responsive as Blood Brothers. Not a terrible game but just barebone of content. Reminds me of VR games like Split Second and Tactical Assault. Fun games but not very in depth. Was hoping more from watching it on early access for years. Was debating between this or Ready or Not but since Ground Branch had a great price i pulled the trigger on this one.

First of all, Ground Branch prioritizes realism and authenticity and is nothing like Ghost Recon, and you probably want to return this game if you're expecting it to be similar. It isn't the stereotypical COD/Battlefield type FPS at all, the weight of your gear matters, your operator's arms get fatigued over time if you aren't periodically switching to low/high ready and getting shot once can absolutely kill you especially if you took it to the head. Don't get me wrong, I am NOT trying to gate keep nor am I suggesting that if you don't play this game the "right way" then you shouldn't play at all- play the way you'll have the most fun and however brings you the most enjoyment. With that being said, the intended purpose is to be a team oriented experience that encourages strategic and methodical gameplay, and in my opinion, this play style is the best way to enjoy Ground Branch. If that interests you, then I'd suggest joining one of the many public servers and getting the full Ground Branch experience before you decide whether or not to return it.

As many people are pointing out this game is still in development, so more maps are coming but the different mission types (intel, hostage rescue, terrorist hunt, etc) force you to approach each map in different ways. Additionally, it is stated that a single player campaign is coming to the full release. If you really do find the maps boring a lot of the aforementioned servers have modded maps, firearms, attachments, AI, and more that make game play more interesting.

Hopefully this was informative and didn't come off as pretentious, just trying to paint a clear picture for you. Hope you keep it and enjoy the game as much as I do :D

Can't I just find BOBB a bad game? What's spoiled about my opinion exactly? I haven't paid for it and I don't make any demands or complaints about it. It's a budget game made by 1 guy. You get what you pay for. If you think it's a good game that's fine of course, but we have a very different definition of what makes a good game then.

Ghost Recon had 15 missions, definitely not 23. Maybe you are including one of the expansions? Here's a list of all of the missions:

I agree that Ground Branch still feels quite barebones, but that's just something that can happen in an early access game. The next update should improve things a bit with a first pass on objective-based missions.

Im sure its gonna be my favorite game in a few years. I just thought there would be more content by now, like a story driven campaign of a few levels at least.

But its cool ill keep it for now. yall convinced me.
