Gun sounds going forward (or maybe backward)?

Any way to get the sound back to how it was in v1032 and/or do we have any idea of whether some of that will be added back in at some point? I miss damn near feeling the thump of rounds while firing and the chaos of flash banging a room and clearing with a shotgun. It felt like madness and more realistic. Even a mod for this would be cool.
