GROUND BRANCH

GROUND BRANCH

Full release?
I mean, it's so many years in EA.
When it's gonna finally release?

Trolling for the jester award I take it. Hope no one falls for this bait.

My opinion: Chris Roberts, the inventor of Star Citizen and GB have one thing in common, they are absolutely brilliant and will probably never see a "full release". It's not even necessary, because for € 17.49 in the "EA Winter Sale" GB offers much more than, for example, "Battlefield" can ever deliver for its full-price triple A titles :steamthis:
Guess when devs are happy with it.

Not trolling, I wasn't following this title closely. Is it one of those never-gonna-release games and I should just take it of my wishlist?

Edit. I can see the Devs are active and updating regularly, or so it seems

In the discord there was talk about going to 1.0 (with further planned content in the road map to be released) in 2025. I imagine that it would be late 2025.

The next big update, 1035, was supposed to be initially released to the test side in 2024 which did not occur.

I would be very surprised in they went to 1.0 in 2025 based on the information available.

There's probably at least 3 major updates to come out before the game is fully released if I'm judging by Trello.

Every major update in the last few years has taken 12 months, with v1035 being the exception, taking longer as it was not released during December.

By that maths and assuming v1035 is released soon, it'll at least be 2027 at the earliest before we see v1.0 of Ground Branch. That of course assumes its all smooth sailing, which is is also probably optimistic.

I myself am at a point where I'll believe it when I see it.

I find this is somewhat realistic take...
if you want to be really (and I mean really) optimistic I would say 2026...

that if they don´t do a RoN stunt and decide to randomly declare one of the next updates 1.0 - full game - when in reality it still far away from it lol

I'm gonna be optimistic and say end of the year, or early 2026.

The realist in me says it's likely a 2027 release though as development is fairly slow going
this game will never release its trash :BMW_GLASSESPUSH:
bought this in 2020 nothing really happened since then :lunar2019laughingpig:

The same people that have informed me numerous times that the game is dead have also told me that the game will be finished in 2077 :)
In the name of the Lord 2077 - very optimistic (but a bit too brief?)
:))

yeah personally I don´t even care when/if this will get a full release
friendly AI is not that important for me, in fact I hope you can deactivate it once it gets released.
it´s a neat idea but reality is that they tend to get in the way and be annoying more than anything else, unless extremely well programmed/implemented ofc.

a story campaign is also something I don´t really need, nice if it´s there but I can do without.

game just needs some more polishing and better AI.
and maybe a couple more variations for lone wolf missions and a couple more maps and weather conditions like cloudy/rainy, etc.

once those things are achieved it will be one of the very best realistic immersive tactical shooter out there no doubt.

I totally agree. I don't need team AI. I also feel they weaken the experience or sense of urgency I get from lone wolf, which i always played in Rainbow Six, besides the campaign once.

Just want the AI more polished and more tactical. Like able to nade rude for cover try and flank etc. Of course I also want weather and more mission variations as they are working on now.
UnKnOwN & Cypher - I like your arguments very much
