GROUND BRANCH

GROUND BRANCH

Ground Branch vs Ready Or Not and Zero Hour?
Looking for a tactical shooter. I've been playing insurgency Sandstorm with a friend but he no longer play it and trying to play that game solo offline is a huge pain as I need to manually input commands each time if playing with mods and mutators.

I love having lots of customization and depth for weapons like Tarkov, and preferably having the ability to swap attachments on the fly like the Stalker games.

Wondering which of the three games, if any, is the best in this area?

If you want working AI that is mostly polished then Ready or Not. They have minimal customisation, and it has only coop, It is Unreal Engine 5 so you need a pretty powerful computer to run it as well. The campaign is very bare bones, and you pretty much will play missions over and over to get S rank to unlock cosmetic items, or bragging rights.

If you care more about weapon and kit customisation then you would want Ground Branch. Ground Branch has no current AI. You also can pick up and use enemy weapons if you run out. Neither of the other two games you asked about, have close to the same customisation for kits. This game has PVP as well as COOP.

The AI in Zero Hour are very bare bones and get stuck allot. It's more like meat shields than support members. I was surprised the game actually released with how much the game feels rushed. I hope one day it becomes more polished. There is also PVP and COOP in this game as well.

If you want a game with functioning AI, but more tactical then I would go for Six Days in Fallujah. It currently has no weapon customisation, but the enemy AI are actually a challenge without cheating, and the team AI are functioning pretty well. This game is also only COOP.

Ground Branch is the best out of those games, hands down. Better optimization than Ready Or Not, and unlike Zero Hour… there is no Denuvo.

Note: 6DIF has a known bug where shooting enemies in the head doesn't kill them, and then they'll instantly down you. Sadly none of these games are a complete package, they all have some sort of massive problem that stops them from being clearly better than the competition.

zero hour is a bad game. there's an overuse of door wedges and empty rooms with no enemies in them.

ready or not, the AI seem to be either godlike in aim or just plain bad. then there is the bugs and glitches.

ground branch, good level design, bad AI, glitchy first person weapon movements.

thanks guys. I will probably play them all eventually, just deciding what to get now. Since GB still needs some polishing, guess I will wait a bit more.

well it depends if you like to command friendly AI and clear rooms in CQ scenarios as a police enforcer then Ready or Not might be better.

but if you like being lone wolf in a more military tactical settings it´s Ground Branch.

I am speaking of the SP experience, that said all of those games have issues and aren´t particularly well polished.

so go for what you might think you would prefer...

despite some flaws I very much like Ground Branch whereas I tried RON and refunded because I didn´t like it for several reasons.
but hey that´s me, best thing you can do is try them and use the refund option within the 2 hours limit.

Sadly I got RON in Early Access and expected the game polished by release, which was way past refund time.

I had negative fun playing Ready Or Not, got my money back and was so thankful I could. That would have been the worst $50 I spent in a long time.

what didn't you like about it?

SWAT 4 (modded) is better then RON.

I would say, but there are too many RON fanboys who will get their panties in a knot as always.

I think it's the fact that these new gamer's have low standards for games, and excuse poor game design, and features as acceptable.

Requiring a game to need user mods to enjoy a recent purchase, because the game had unplayable AI at launch is the customers problem.

Buying a game with current features and upcoming features, that are later removed or not released is also totally acceptable from a game company.

If you state any of these glaring issues as a reason to be unhappy, then RON fanboys jump all over you with childish insults with no actual real counter argument.
