GROUND BRANCH

GROUND BRANCH

If Blackfoot Studios and Micro Prose want to sell a ton of Ground Branch games then It's all about player options for the servers.
A certain amount of realism is fine and will appeal to some players, but so does Call of Duty which has sold ridiculous number of copies.
I still play the first COD Black Ops in what's called tactical style. this is were you must move in crouch mod, but can run from direct fire only to nearest cover.
If you want to sell millions of copies to that crowd then do the following.:

GIVE PVP SERVERS CONTROL OVER:
1. Amount of times player can respawn from 0 or infinite in all game types.
2. Set stamina (which would be based on equipment carried and movement) where it's totally negated or adjusted up to realistic or even beyond realistic.
3. At the end of map when players go back to bunker give players time to pick new load out before next map starts.
The load outs in Ground Branch are a definite strong point. To be able to customize your load out to such a high degree is amazing!
4. And if you want to draw some more real interest have it so the server can have things like ai giant spiders or zombies that will go after anyone. You could let you imagination go wild with this. This could also be done in players vs ai game .
A players vs mad scientist game mode.

Another strong point is ability to have up to eight friends playing in coop! it would be nice to have it so that in terrorist hunt when you get down to just a few terrorist they then come out after you. Otherwise finding them can take a long long time.

Server options means fun for a larger audience to increase sales.

It sounds like an average Zeus mission in Arma 3, if I'm honest chief.
I've tried setting up a server in arma 3 with mods for coop game play, it can be a complicated mess to setup and things don't always play as intended. I've noticed the movement can be a little clunky too.
On top of that the amount of key functions it ridiculous. Especially for someone who remaps the keys for a gaming keypad called the excalibur SI-881. And the graphics aren't as good.

If Ground Branch gets added options that are easy to setup in admin then it well easily appeal to a much larger majority of players thus more sales.
If Blackfoot Studios and Micro Prose want to sell a ton of Ground Branch games

...it's about finishing the game.

At this point, Star Citizen is making better progress than these guys. Games basically a scam now.

Got my first ship for Star Citizen in 2014 lol. It's turning out to be an awesome game! Can't wait until it's finished.
I enjoy Ground Branch too, just wish development was progressing faster.

right there with you. My point is its probably not a good sign when SC is making quicker progress than GB

I would hope Star Citizen would be making progress faster than a Indy game. SC has hundreds of employees... So many they actually fire them, because they cost too much to pay.

Yeah, its mind-boggling how a team of 9-10 with a limited budget can't compete with a team of 700 with a budget of $700 million.

A fundamental question: is a team of "700 million developers" with a $700 budget better positioned? :steamfacepalm:

What is mind boggling is how Star Citizen is still not even close to being released!

Star Citizen should be called "Scam Citizens".

Insane budget, no optimization, pay to win, buggy, and already a long time in development despite the huge team and insane budget.
Actually it's not pay to win. there vers in Star Citizen will be 90% npcs, plus there's a much larger career choices then just fighting. For traders there will be safe and dangerous trade routes available.
If you feel the need you can always hire protection too.
clearly you haven't tried the game or kept up on it's development.

It's Pay 2 win in the sense people pay real money to unlock ships, is probably what Miss meant.

I play Ground Branch specifically because it ISN'T Cod. No game has tried to do what Ground Branch is doing in over 2 decades. Why on earth would it try to compete with the giant teenage sweat farm like COD?
You mean no other game has been worked on for over 2 decades? Because that´s not true!
