You wanna know something ? This is still in Early Access :)
Early access for how many years now?
What's the problem ? I know some games (BeamNG.Drive for example) who are in Early Access for more than 10 years and those games are amazing, Early Access just mean that the developers consider their game not good enough to be released in v1.0.
People needs to stop thinking "Too long early access = bad games", that's stupid.
And before the resident discussion troll starts, I'm not bashing the game, I just wish that instead of working on all of the superfluous eye candy they would focus on the mechanics and the bots. Yes, I know that the developers switched the bot AI software, but they haven't worked right since that change.
Exactly this. I'd love to roll back the AI. Before was better.
All of a sudden as in just now or between 1033 and 1034?
So their quality should be going up.
That could affect performance, if you disabled mip maps.
Then the lower details versions would not be loaded and you'd be running high res textures all the time, even if they were too far away to make a difference.
Running a 40-series nvidia GPU?
The games great just need the important AI to be ironed out.
Oh, and on occasion a couple of us that play together notice that in the Ready Room sometimes the characters will not stand still, and will slowly "glide" across the floor.
3060. Never had an issue with textures until the update. Up close they look good, but distance and rendering looks horrible. I know I don't have a top of the line rig, but a 3060 shouldn't struggle to run this game and make it look good.
And the egregious lock-ons in complete darkness. I could totally understand them having a vague, general area to start investigating if they hear a suppressed gunshot, and maybe the rookies might even blindfire in that general direction... but they know exactly where to go to close with you, and when the area is so godamned dark that if you turn your nods off the screen LITERALLY goes completely black, these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are shooting DIRECTLY at you from 20 feet away, even AFTER you sprinted away from the position where you took your shot for 10 seconds, and there was nobody near you to hear you move. They just move towards you, get to a certain distance and bang.
Playing night/dark missions is a joke - stealth used to be the most fun part of this game. Now its like a difficulty increase. smh
