Is the AI perfect? No, but show me one game that has perfect AI... There is none.
This game is supposed to be hard. Playing in night setting does not make you invisible. Moving around makes noise. Practice more and you will get better.
maybe they can see you on the night because the moon is bright, if you go on advance time setting, in certain time of the day and date, night will have full moon, in the bottom right there is the NIGHT LIGHTING STATISTIC, the last 2 line is NIGHT VISIBILITY (unaided), so when you don't have the night vision, and NIGHT VISIBILITY (night vision), if the night visibility (unaided) is fair and above, enemy AI will see you on certain distance.
If you want the experience to be undetected on night, be sure the night visibility without night vision is very poor or effectively none so you can sneak behind enemy (or even in front).
Hope this help and sorry for my english.
That's true. When you play solo it becomes even more important that you know what you are doing. Knowing the difference between cover and concealment. How to clear buildings effectively (CQB tactics). Not to stay too long behind the same cover but move swiftly from cover to cover. Especially on the higher difficulty settings (experienced and veteran) knowing these kind of things makes all the difference.
I don't think that's a skill issue, because for me it feels as if the AI is only ever so slightly more difficult than it was before the big AI update. The first iteration of the AI update made the AI indeed too difficult and "all-knowing", but with the latest patch that was rolled back nicely - for me. The AI has definitely better senses than before, but on lower difficulties it was manageable. I must stress that i only played a few matches and did not play at night. I also played on the lowest or second lowest AI setting only, because i was playing solo...
Again, for me the AI difficulty is roughly comparable to how it was before the big update. AI has definitely better senses now, even on lower settings, but everything else seemed roughly comparable to me. Maybe there is a bug, that for some players the AI settings did no apply correctly?
Maybe test in Singleplayer, if that makes a difference.
Again, i did not spend a lot of time with the latest update, so take everything i said with a grain of salt...

The recording kinda sucks since I just used the Windows Game Bar, but it is what it is.

Much higher quality than the last one. Found out that Nvidia has a new app just called Nvidia App that doesn't require an account to use recording, and it looks much better this way.
Last one. Same map, but shotgun and pistol only. I didn't check the stairs thoroughly and got shot in the back, but I did manage to take down 6 of 15 before going down.

I'm seeing them get stuck a few times here and there, along with having issues shooting at me that appear to possibly be caused by them being too close to something so they can't raise their weapons. They're not perfect, but it's not terrible.

Full disclosure, I've also add this to my Engine.ini to reduce pop in issues with shadows and LOD stuff. I don't THINK any of it affects the AI since they're graphical changes only, but I could be wrong.
As I said earlier, I don't play GB much. I fully expected to get my ass kicked when I fired it back up earlier tonight, but I ended up having a blast. I'm still waiting for legit missions to be a thing, though. I feel like Terrorist Hunt and the intel/bomb missions will get real stale real fast if I keep going, but I'm really enjoying what's here. It's a far cry from the UE3 stuff some of us had access to back in like 2010, give or take.
