AI still needs a lot of work as they like to get tangled up in bathrooms or stairs from time to time but the next update should help a bit.
There are a few large maps which can be played at any time/weather you like so it isnt as repetitive.
Just remember that it is still early access and not bug free.
In that regard: If you like realistic gunplay and have some patience and time to wait for a finished product, this one has some traits you won't find in other games. Namely (grain of salt like CAR said, subjective) the most realistic gunplay on the market, some bigger maps with a certain style I don't know from anywhere else (realistic, fortunately unbalanced) and playable AI.
It's rough on the edges for sure. Devs work on AI atm and it's needed.
But this game is smth that slowly and steadily melts into smth nice, an oldschool shooter with a very mature core, smth you won't find on the market anywhere else.
But yes, development is slow and this is by no means a finished product.
If you mainly compare it to Arma, I would say it's not bad. I personally love it for it's (basic) sandbox format: Equip, setup mission parameters, jump into map, fight AI. It's not really as customizable as Arma (yet), there's not many maps, but if you like the immersion from Arma, you will find it even better in this game, but on a much more lightweight level.
That's how you do it.
Always nice to see mature people still exist.
Question: How did you like the gunplay, compared to Arma?
Hopefully the game is where you would like it in the near future.
GB has potential. But the way it is at the moment, with the AI of the enemies, who can apparently see 300 meters across a forest and immediately spot a camouflaged sniper, even though he (you) is equipped with a camouflage uniform. I also have to correct my first review. I really can't recommend the game at the moment.
If it's not for you then that's cool. Move on and find something else fun to play. Life is to short.
All we ask is people give it an honest try and decide if what is there will give them enough value for their money.
