Frustrating :|
Second, Nexus should outright be boycotted. They are near enough the EA of the modding world and are all about establishing control over users and content creators.
So I am gonna need to download tons of mods just to find a server and play ?
When I hear people mentioning workshop and mods, I remember Arma 3 where its next to impossible to find a decent server without being forced to download dozens of mods.
The game is pretty dead right now and currently as a new player I can barely find a PvP servers, which is what I bought the game for. Now adding mods would make this unplayable for players like me.
On PvP servers most players complain about the lack of PvP enthusiasm with this game, I think you guys should probably look into this.
Custom game modes (.lua files) and custom missions (.mis files) can be run entirely server side.
Patches are client side and designed to be optional.
You don't want to see someones waifu patch, don't download it.
Anything with other assets (e.g. new items, new maps) would have to be downloaded.
Idea is for it to be easy and/or automatic, if you so desire.
