Opfor Names
Should one of Ground Branch's opfor team name be "Orchestra" based of 'Wagner' private military contractors?

:texmag:I stumbled on this article and it got me thinking about what opfor teams names are gonna be like for this game.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/aug/07/russias-private-military-contractor-wagner-comes-out-of-the-shadows-in-ukraine-war

"Wagner is often referred to by its supporters and members as the “orchestra”, a reference to the German composer Richard Wagner."

Could even go with "Telemann" or "Stockhausen" or a more modern reference as the "Zimmer" group.

Oh those are actual music composers. I thought those were real nick names for real military groups. I was searching online for operations and sighting of these groups for like 10 mins :jesse_laugh: You got me good.

I wasn't even joking either. There are some theories that the original founder Dmitry Utkin chose the callsign "Wagner" because he is a neo-nazi and loved the original composer Richard Wagner, a composer that Hitler idolized. It would make sense.
The other german composer names would be cool too. I am a little biased to the Zimmer Group

I agree they make sense too. Instead of having a "Wagner Group" in the game, we have a "Telemann, Stockhausen" or "Zimmer Group" Makes sense

The reason that I liked "Orchestra" is because according to the article the mercenary group "Wagner is often referred to by its supporters and members as the 'Orchestra' " As a anonym between each other.

I think the game referencing a vague name like 'Orchestra' would be a cool detail. Because it has some grounds in real life facts but still vague enough to deny portraying those groups.

:jesse_laugh: The funny thing is that I misunderstood what you suggested. I though you were telling me that there were real life military groups using those names for themselves too. I spent some time looking for Telemann, Stockhausen, Zimmer military groups. The names are renown mostly to music composers only.

Well the assets in the game files are literally the FSB though I like the idea of a made up "Orchestra" names.
Still think we need some disgruntled German terrorists ran by Hans Gruber.

It's a necessity yes. I hope the devs add that and have the foresight to add a long monolog by Hans when we finally get to him. And a slow motion death scene when we are done.
