Worth it Solo?

I don't often play games with other friends, given I have none, and wanted to know if this game is worth it when playing alone? Is there a singleplay-esque option, or is it purely PVP?

Yup, there's a lone wolf mode that let's you play terrorist hunt or intel retrieval. Enemy AI still needs a good touch-up, so hopefully future updates will make that better. This game is definitely playable solo, and I'd say worth it.

If you are on the fence, I recommend waiting for a sale.

To add to the answer above, Lone Wolf does mean only you against bots—there are no friendly AI you can order around (yet).

Also keep in mind that both Terrorist Hunt and Intel Retrieval are fairly barebone game modes with no story or campaign behind them, so it all feels somewhat sandboxy right now.

That said, you should be able to find some nice folks to play with on our Discord (see sticky post).

you can also host your own in the other multiplayer modes and it generates enemy bots in some of them and then invite others if you want help

Well, I have only played a couple of hours but not because I do not want to. Because our gameroom is converted to acomodate an ukranian family... But I fully enjoy single player and yes it may become a bit barebonish eventually but there is a mod with other gamemodes as well on Nexus. Break out, Break through and Kill confirmed. I have no friends who owns GB but I think it will be quite easy to join some other operators on the Discord channel. Hope this helps a bit. Uh, and there will not be a sale on this game rest of 2022.

GROUND BRANCH’s campaign will not follow a linear storyline, but instead consist of hot spots located around the globe to where you will be able to deploy. Each hot spot may consist of a single mission or a string of a few missions that are linked together, with objectives in earlier missions possibly influencing the conditions of later ones.

The game is mostly focused on PVE, multiplayer is not synonymous with PVP unlike a lot of other games, so you'll mostly see PVE servers on the browser as well as the option to do full SP "lone wolf" as mentioned above

Yes, it is worth it solo. Solo is a whole different game in comparison. Is a good tool to practice situation awareness.

New AI is coming with the next big patch so I'd recommend waiting for that as the current AI is lacking in several areas.
