A bit lost in Lone Wolf

It says retrieve the objective, what objective? As I start alone do I have to find my team?
All in all I have found nothing

What mode were you playing in? Intel retrieval or terrorist hunt? Also there currently isn't any friendly AI for singleplayer but it is planned.

Intel Retrieval. I take it Terrorist Hunt is kill all the terrorists?

Yes, but for intel retrieval there should be laptops scattered around the map. The objective is to find the one that has the intel on it and make your way back to the exfil point.

We need to work on making objectives clearer and less missable, but for the time being they are summarized on the Ops Board screen (where you select the insertion point in the Ready Room).

Is there currently a bug causing exfil to fail? I have successfully gathered intel 3 times now on 747 and city, got to the exfil point, only for nothing at all to happen. Wondering if this is a common issue, thank you

Did you actually pick up the laptop? You have to hold down the key to…hack into it…I guess? Feels like there’s only ever one laptop now whereas before there were multiple and one might be the wrong laptop. Maybe I’m just getting lucky.

Anyhoo, after you hack into it you have to press the button or let up off of it to close it and THEN you must physically pick it up with another key press. You have to be holding it to trigger the exfil.

Dear developers - you have created a really complex world, with many possibilities and structures. this is great art. But it is also a great art to make this complexity comprehensible. GB is constructing a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in this regard.
This extraordinary game needs much more explanation on all levels. The community has already pointed this out many times...

I was a little confused when I first played. When you get close to it, it will beep. Then look close to you. Then upload/download the information, then pick it up (I missed picking it up when first played and couldn't figure out why I couldn't extract LOL. Then head to the smoke (may not be a cake walk). Great fun.
