Break Out reminds me of "Recon" game mode in the original GhostRecon. You had to sneak your team from one side of the map to the other and the map was packed with enemies. Kill Confirmed is really fun too.
Having fun playing these game modes !!! The only thing I can't figure out is your spawn system. There are no new spawn methods to choose from in the in-game operation board menu.
Regarding OpFor spawn selection methods there should be a "Spawn method" setting on operation board with "Group", "Priority" and "Random" options available. Either this, or I broke something. Will take a look later.
Thanks for letting me know!
Sure, the installation process is more or less the same as when installing for yourself. You have to extract the contents of the game mode zip files to Ground Branch server root folder.
The only caveat is that if you want to add these game modes/missions to map list as after connecting to the server as admin, you do have to have the game modes installed on the server and locally on your machine. Otherwise the game modes and missions will not show up on the map selection screen.
How hard would it be to have random weapons (with/<loose> magazines and randomized < /loose> attachments) to pop up in random 'appropriate' spots?
It was fairly 'manageable' to achieve this with mutators and map coordinates in UE1/2(.5), but I have no idea about UE3/4, let alone for LUA, dependent on how that's implemented.
Adding to that, how hard is it to achieve 'enemy reinforcements' entering through a 'believable stage entrance' (e.g. spawning in dead ends with assumed level exits when no players are looking, such as back ends where players spawn in, or the subway tunnel dead ends.)?
Granted, I haven't been able to look at the game's scripting/engine work, but I'm genuinely curious if something like this is realistically achievable without feature suggestions to the dev team.
I know not very creative or inspirational but somewhat of an idea.
I'm definitely not the only one working on custom game modes. There's already few other people, that I know of, making game modes as well. You can grab `Rendezvous` by V2-1 and fatmarrow from GB discord, and a bunch of PvP game modes from r1ft4469's GitHub repo [github.com], to name a few.
Afaik spawning random weapons with random attachments is not possible at the moment. Should be an option in the future though.
That should be relatively easy. You only need to place the spawn points where you want them, probably tag them appropriately, and then create ai at said spawn points at a given time.
So. to sum up, t's awesome rn, but should get even better with time.
This might just become the Infiltration remake the 25 people that are still left alive that remember that game were waiting for 🤣
Throw in Break Out to start and you got yourself a revenge story.
