Combining Balance Mod 1.25 Gamma + FQM 5.00 Beta 15 + Multimedia Mod? Is it possible?

I have recently started playing this game after a long time (so i have forgotten everything!) and was delighted to discover that the Balance Mod had been updated.
Last time i played was some years ago with an old version of the balance mod combined with the multimedia mod and FQM which seemed to run well together.
It is my understanding that FQM mod and balance mod will work together and the multimedia mod will work with them both.
Is this correct?
Luckily, i have a copy of both mods from before their website's went offline.
I have read on the Captain's site that the BM and an old version of FQM have diverged but there is an upcoming mod (Nova) that will contain the latest FQM mod.
Basically, i want to know if i can combine the Balance Mod 1.25 Gamma, FQM and Multimedia mod or is it recommended i stick with just the balance mod?

I want the improved AI as well as the updated graphics.
Is this possible? i have tried merging them all, but cannot trust that i haven't broken something down the line.

So the Balance Mod retains essentially the "quadrant" portion of FQM, but has since evolved it's own set of systems, stellar objects and stellar ability types plus uses a smaller system (~18x15 hexes) layout. I do not recommend merging with FQM. If you play a few games you'll see the many changes that have happened since the "v115+" series.

I don't recall exactly what the multimedia mod contains. At this point, the Balance mod has essentially its own textures for everything but planets (which will happen one day). As of the v125+ series, it also has its own set of remastered or newly created sounds as well.

At the very least I'd recommend playing through a game or two to get a sense of what has changed.

Awesome Captain thank you! started a game and am slowly finding my way around again!
The multimedia mod is just a graphics collection i found and quite liked, but i will stick with your mod now and will be checking your site more frequently from now on!
