Did anyone get this game running on Windows 11?

I just upgraded and it looks like the game just won't start; I run it but the window never appears. Any idea how to fix it?

Oh, it's that DLL I installed for DirectX compatibility; doesn't seem to work with Windows 11!

Yep. Simply follow the instructions posted in the community by 'Paradox Man' for Windows 10 and it works fine (leave the file 'Utilities' as 'Utilities' though. Don't rename it).

Not even bothering with windows 11 -.- It'll have more spywear than MI5, 6, CIA and old KGB put together.

I'm in IT - 11 is basically identical to 10. Metrics fed back to MS included.
Little has changed outside the UI.

Yeah typical marketing at Microsoft: Slap a disclaimer you can't run it on the same machine as Windows 10, and then proceed to tell people it's majorly improved, prevent rollbacks, and change literally nothing under the hood except the system requirements deadfail.

To be fair, they've rewritten the storage stack, which is benchmarkable as a performance difference in DirectStorage. But they could have released that in an Win10 feature update.

Windows versions since Vista have only had the name changed for marketing reasons (and an excuse to release a new UI), really. Software compatibility is pretty flat across from Vista to 11.
