I want this game to succeed. But after Sparking Zero, expectations definitely needs to be tempered

People lost their minds for Dragonball Z Sparking Zero when it was revealed and shown off in trailers. Then when the game dropped, people learned the story mode was actually ass and disappointed skyrocketed. Now the game is practically dead online and the offline content is pretty subpar.

I truly hope this Bleach game doesn't follow the same route

money talks, DBZ sparkling zero sold a crazy ton of copies, its a huge success for Bandai. heck they might make a sequel one day lol

It's a huge success on sells only, because they exploited our trust. If they were to do a sequel, it would certainly not succeed, because never again. The impact of SZ will be shown on all of their upcoming games, starting with this one.

Unfortunately it will die pretty quickly. No crossplay and no rollback will ruin this game. Online scene is the most important to keep the playerbase. Look for example at Granblue Versus, it had delay based netcode and it literally killed the game. They had to rerelease it with rollback and crossplay for it to get a 2nd chance at life.

I personally wouldn't buy bandai game on launch or preorder either.... I just had friend gift the game for me since they knew i grew up with the series and even that person is bummed out about this games launch despite not even wanting to play it.

Of course they are. They're the one to chose which studio will develop a game, they probably also validate what kind of game, they provide the money, and i'd guess they're the one fixing a deadline for the game.

And they're the one setting the price.
