I want this game to succeed. But after Sparking Zero, expectations definitely needs to be tempered
People lost their minds for Dragonball Z Sparking Zero when it was revealed and shown off in trailers. Then when the game dropped, people learned the story mode was actually ass and disappointed skyrocketed. Now the game is practically dead online and the offline content is pretty subpar.

I truly hope this Bleach game doesn't follow the same route

people are sheep. DBZ fan base is one of the most low iq fan base out there. Sparkling zero was DOOMED from day one as they recycled a 20year old game and added a coat of paint on it. Who in there mother was excited for that game? budokai tenkaichi's gameplay was just okay at the time in 2004, didnt age so well yep.... people tend to remember ps2 era games and give them way too much credit.

Bleach ROS is at the very least something different. Just dont buy it and wait for a sale and review, you can purchase it then.

Difference Sparking Zero is a casual game. ROS is gonna be more competitive and Balanced like a traditional fighting game.

Now people complain about the game, justifiably ♥♥♥♥ on the story mode, and there's people like you pretending no one was hyped for the game despite the fact people wouldn't shut up about it before its release.

I WANT this game to succeed because its absolutely criminal Bleach doesn't have a cool fighting game. But I fear that its going to have an absolute trash story mode and then online dies within a month like the grand majority of anime games. Then you're left with a ♥♥♥♥ game where you wait 30 mins+ to get a match online.

MEh, couldnt care less about online mode. The story has already been shown and it looks fantastic. I feel this game community will be plagued by cry babies wanting NUS cutscenes, SF VI gamepay and Cyberpunk Graphics.

Who cares about the nb of sheep excited for the game, not going to change what the game is and the gameplay is already out.

Sparkling was DEAD BEFORE it hit the shelves. absolute dog ♥♥♥♥♥ gameplay right from the trailers. same game as in 2004 dammit. you'd have to be a moron to get excited for sparkling zero.
If you cant tell that this game is for you or not based on what's shown then it definitely NOT FOR YOU? stop wishing the game to be something its not. It's Heat the souls refreshed with a new gameplay, if you don't want that, go cry to mommy

Competitive in what way? In the p2w attack boosts or the only combos being all light or all heavy with no skill involved?

it better be casual LMAO
Do i want Kon or Orihime to beat Aizen because of "balance" hell no.
I want Aizen and Dangai Ichigo to feel completely OP if anything.

What’s the point of a fighting game, then?

If you wanted to accurately portray the canon power levels of the characters, you could just play an RPG instead.

Whats the point of ever playing more than one fighting game if they are all perfectly balanced? Sometimes its nice to have a game where you can legitimately handicap yourself by picking a weaker character as a means of flexing.

nah I agree with Sage Of Canada, Bobo Won completely.

go play street fighter or guilty gear if you want balance. OP characters could be used by less experienced players to have a fair fight. ANime games need to stay true to their lore and power scaling otherwise it feels wrong. I dont want krillin to hit as hard as Broly.

Ten-ten from Naruto shouldnt hit as hard as the Hokage. and Chad should be no where near as strong as Yhwach. If you disagree kindle F off and go play tekken or something lmao

I shall "kindle" not F off. For online i much rather have balancing as much as possible. If you don't want balance, i think in all fairness that should be kept in offline bot matches / or seperate gamemode and heres why... If you have an online competetive mode that has OP characters the matches will be everyone abusing this 24/7 and the variety of roster you play against will be so limited cause why play weak characters to climb ranks when a "Y" character is just 9 times better than "X" character.

Before you write, "well just challenge yourself and master the weak character" = No
Again it will entirely dull the online experience when all you fight against is always Aizen or something, It'll just make the gameplay loop entirely boring. (( tldr = no balancing -> online will be dead in a week when the only challenge is to learn how to counter the strongest character...... so i sincerely hope the "god complex" fantasy of yours is either a seperate gamemode or kept in offline.

It's a bandai game, don't expect much. SPZ lacked content, so will Bleach.
also i forgot.... you wanna main orihime cause its your favorite character, well too bad everyones playing the strongest character in every online mode just for that "god complex" feel and literally oneshot you by looking at you. yeah thats all fun i guess for balancing

Okay "balance" isnt a yes or no question, it is a sliding scale. So to understand anything you must first grasp that. The game will absolutely have balance its not going to be the Aizen is unstoppable as long as you are trying game. Aizen will have a hard counter perhaps multiple, and its still going to be an anyone can beat the others at any given moment but some matchups will be harder then others. This is why everybody is on a relative power tier and we don't have Keigo running around like Mr Satan.

Yhwach isnt in this game so no worries.
