The story mode seems to be the weakest part of this game but it doesn’t matter

No one really cares about the story that they play once and forget about it afterwards.

Do I want it to be high quality like the Naruto Storm games?

Yes, but it is okay that it isn’t.

Bleach fans already know the story, new fans could probably get a rough idea of the story in this game and watch the anime for the full experience.

What is most important is the actual fighting game, the part where it has infinite replay ability compared to the story which is play once and forget.

lol tbh I think the story mode we're getting isn't just more than enough, It might even been TOO GOOD. If they had spent the amount of time that they spent working on the cut-scenes/ stupid hollow bosses/voice acting and story mode backdrops and use those resources somewhere else I'm thinking we would not only have all the captains and espada in the roster but also most of the OAV movie characters easily.
The studio is not big enough that they can offer Naruto storm level of story animation along with deep gameplay and huge roster. PEOPLE we have to be realistic!! there is a budget and a time frame for these projects.

The best bleach game i enjoyed was a 2d fighter on the NDS, and that had a slideshow for a story mode and I thought that was more than fine!
focus on making a GOOD GAME with repayable gameplay!!

In naruto storm games the story mode is actually A$$ aside from the cutscenes. and YES the gameplay suffered! Naruto ultimate ninja games (on the PS2) had more Jutsu, more attacks, each characters had 3 different auras they could activate to deal 3 different SP attack. they dumbed it down to a single SP attack by character!!


make a good game, if I want story I got plenty of material to dwelve into one of the longest running comic book and anime in history of mankind.

And this is exactly why all Bleach games suck so bad. Because their fans and posers do not want a great game. They just want something that isn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ than before.
If you're new to this industry, I would shut up and listen. There are far better examples of games from 5 or more years ago, in the Anime market that have a better story mode than what was shown. This is a 2025 game for PC and the most powerful gaming consoles on the market, not a 2010 release for the PSP.
If Bleach fans do not respect themselves, don't expect the company dishing out products of this franchise for profit to do it for yourselves.

it's a ps4 game thats also available for ps5 and pc, petty far from the "most powerful gaming console on the market" LMAO. the graphics look like ps4 because that's what it was made for.
If anything you sound like a 14 yo kid thats very new to the gaming industry, gimme this gimme that and make everything perfect momy. riiiiight. Except Tamsoft is a small company with 50 guys hustling 2 years on this game commissioned by bandai namco. They have time, money and manpower limitations. We can't expect an RPG story mode along with 100 perfectly designed fighting character each with their respective combo. LOL since this is a fighting game i said I'd rather they give up on stupid cutscene and focus on fighting game balance and gameplay.

It does look pretty janky, but at the same time there's something about the quality that felt off. Especially if you compare what Morita was playing and the Rukia trailer that came out that same weekend. Frame-rate and graphics were MUCH higher quality in the Rukia clip, so it makes me wonder if Morita's build was old.

and anime accurate fighting system lol. ROS is not it,characters rotate around each other in close quarter combat, looks more like soul calibur than bleach. a more lore accurate battle style for bleach would look like DBZ sparkling zero more than ROS.
but that's fine, ROS looks insane and will be a blast. just means there is room for a different bleach/JRPG style game
