Had they done a full bleach adaptation, it might have been a bit better, but still the kind you shelf once finished.
ill play ROS a hundred hour and get bored like any other game. difference is boring game i play 2-5 hours and shelf it. good game i can play 50 hours and the best game i play i can almost play them 100 hours before getting bored.
People have odd expectations of games these days.
I think we all should be accustomed to the fact that not all games are going to draw each individual in to the point of dedicating hundreds of hours to it, sometimes you can just play something for a little while enjoy your time and move on and that is okay.
I played subnautica for about 12mins and decided it was not for me... It would be ridiculously ignorant for me to then declare how much that experience should be worth to others in terms of monetary value. Same goes for this game, some people will be playing this for years others days and some minutes.
I don't get that any of you can be okay with how much it costs. This should be at 49€ at much. On ps5 it's at the point of being 69€. And you ain't gonna tell me that the deluxe and ultimate editions are worth their prices. The content it's offering should be in the base game regarding of the costumes, and four characters are not worth 29€ no matter how we look at it, it's half the price of the game which is already way too much, and that's more for one character than what a tome of bleach costs.
Bleach:ROS is a fighting game, comparing how long one can take to finish a single player campaign between a story driven turn based RPG and a fighting game and using that as a determinate of how much they are worth is nonsense....
Many people will spend a lot longer then 120 hours playing this game, because its designed as a multiplayer game....
You just are not one of those people, the Idea of playing baulders gate for 120 hours sounds like hell to me, but I am not going to try claim it should be worth less just because its not something I personally see value in.
I think the price of the extra editions are crazy but I think that about every deluxe edition, I believe game prices in general are very high...
I agree the DLC is expensive but again that is basically standard at this stage, development is expensive, cost of living has risen dramatically, the industry is dominated by free to play models,,
I do not think you are actually considering just how much work goes into the creation of a fighting game character either.
I do not disagree that all of this is expensive and wish it was more affordable also, I only disagree with singling this game out as if it should cost less just because you do not personally value it as much as you value a game like Baulders gate.
Even so sales practically dried up already
Pushing a culture in which only products that see massive profits are viewed as successes does not serve the people. It only serves to homogenize the industry and devaluing creative risk.
I do not care if I am the only person who bought the game, I do not care about bleach as an IP so it did not carry my decision but I enjoyed the game so I think it was worth my money.
It is not worth most peoples money... Its not for everyone.
But it was for a lot of people... Not millions of people... But personally I do not want to live in a world where everything is designed to appeal to everyone, that sounds pretty boring.
Bleach games from 2009 and 2010 already had the full content that this game has. If you take heat the soul 7 or Bleach Soul Carnival 2, both were already an adaptation of everything RoS contains while both are games from 15 years ago. Heat the soul 7 was a fighting game very similar to this one and had more characters available. It's on par in terms of graphics while being on psp, have a tag team system, and don't skip on characters. A port of the OG hts 7 would have been just as good as RoS, while giving us more content. Stop defending the undefendable.
You ain't gonna tell me that it's okay to do a new game 15 years later that add nothing new to what the previous games did, while skipping the end of the manga that is available since already 9 years. With the clear intent to offer its content as an incomplete dlc.
Really do not get why I am getting called out here, its a pretty aggressive thing to do and really quiet bullyish.
At no point have I disagreed with whether or not the game was a financial success or if it was dead or not.
I have only ever said that I do not see why people care so much...
If its true that we should subscribe to voting with your dollar, then you have gotten what you want and the slop was not successful.
I do not get why that should possess you to believe you are then entitled to decide whether or not other people can enjoy something purely based on the fact that its not popular.
I mean that is just really square.
I guess everyone should just stop enjoying anything other then PubG and Grandtheft Auto...
